How To Find Your Design Style for YOUTUBERS

Last year we started renovating our studio space only to find it was just a bit too small for what we needed so were building a new studio! Today I am sharing some tips on how to find your Interior Design style for KZfaqRS!

OMG!! Perfect timing. I have been inspired by all of your past makeovers and decided to do the same to my space. The Benjamin Moore Midnight and Decorators white are luscious. Now to try and figure out how to decorate to be multi-purpose office/KZfaq studio space. My wife and I absolutely love you two. Keep them coming!!!

You guys may disagree, but I've always found after moving and renovating stuff myself. "LIVE" in the space for a little while before you make big picture reno decisions. You almost always find your priorities will shift. That said, it happens to us all and I loved the video regardless.

Perfect timing! Thank you for this! It answers 2 of my questions. First, I have been trying to find inspiration to decorate/set up my filming space at home. Second, I struggle with skin tones when I make films at my job and it has never dawned on me, until watching this, that it is the horrible creamy, tan, yellowish paint on the walls. Will be looking for better backgrounds to film against!

You're right, this is a really niche video, but it's so helpful and necessary because of that. I've always liked Scandinavian interior design (with the white/wood aesthetic), but I've realized after visiting so many coffee shops that I tend to actually focus better and feel more comfortable in darker spaces. I've been leaning towards a mix of grays and woods myself so it was cool learn there's a common dark variant of Scandinavian and to see some ideas for it here.

Becki, I know this video was around interior design. But I started thinking about it in terms of photography/ videography. For so long I have fought this battle of trying to find my style, so many types of editing styles/ presets over the years. Only to realize that I wasn’t editing the way I liked to. I was editing the way other people wanted me to. I looked through my own Pinterest boards, and Instagram bookmarks and realized the photos I saved over time had a constant moody theme. Too soon to tell but I’m pretty sure I’m realizing what I need to be shooting and how I need to be editing. Appreciate you!

Probably too late for this, but you can get Advantage 900 from PPG Porter. It's a strong latex trim paint and can be color matched and painted over oil based paint. Just lightly sand the trim to rough it up before painting and you're good to go.

I've been binge watching and rewatching your videos, specifically the design videos and you've mentioned a few times how your skin tone does not complement certain colors. I think I have the same problem, but what do you suggest for figuring out what colors do/don't work with skin tones specifically for creating youtube videos/studio space? I'm in the process of creating my spaces and I love your design choices/colors but would need to make sure I make color choices that fit my tone as well as most of the current furniture choices we've already made so far (grey and white fabrics).

Since i live at my parents and have to share the room with my brother, my "office" is currently new arranged, which means stacking stuff in a way that is pratical and doens't look shit af. I have to say i think I am pretty good at it, cause everytime i do it i have to arrange more and more stuff and still get more free space :D
