I don't recommend University's either but here in the US we have technical colleges which get right to the meat of what you want to learn which can be done completely online and within two years

Wise words Chris . I 100% agree. Psych tests can't tell you if you'll like it. The book What Colour is Your Parachute helped me develop my career. I worked all around the world and found opportunities that were hidden, thanks to its tips 👌

Man, I really enjoy your channel! Also this video is great! I have to admit that I decided to do a formal education as a media designer (web and graphic design). It kinda let's me sleep better. Talking about Germany, where I am, I guess it is easier to open some doors when you have an official degree. Back then (March 2015), that was the best option since I needed some "time off" after I quit my horrible job. So I was able to lay back a bit, clear my mind, concentrate on my education and plan my future. I will finish next January (2017) and I'm already working on my path as a digital nomad. I already have some job offers (remote), but I want more. Got ideas and develop them everyday. I'm super hungry!!! But times are always changing and I believe in a near future (maybe we are already there on an international level) I believe just skills count and not a degree. I hope so! I think it's probably hard for people to decide what our path is is because in life we're constantly changing and growing, so our wants and needs change as we develop. I like this aspect of becoming a Digital Nomad because it allows freedom to learn global culture, see my own personal growth in my professional skills and personal life, and you can take courses and keep continuing to learn various skills to add to your resume. Also long has gone the days of choosing one career one does for the rest of their life until you retire. 😎

Awesome video Chris. At the moment I am in the process of transformation and started a blog and a KZfaq channel but still working fulltime and have sometimes the feeling that quitting my job to be really successful with the idea behind the blog and the channel is the right way to go.Created a book too where I write down all my ideas but as you said it won't lead anywhere if we live with our thoughts and ideas in the future as these are all assumptions and we are not able predict the outcome yet. Went to the meditation center this year in April and spend there 8 days. It is a great way to dig deep, build more awareness and do some soul/passion searching. Connecting with the present and trying different things on a daily basis is definitely the best way to figure out what is really our passion. Besides I made a list of things and activities I like to do when I was young and try to find a good combination to make something out of it and break out of the traditional 9-5. Now my question is although I don't have the skills yet to make money online do you beleive it is better to just quit and try through trail and error or try to build up some income one the side and switch to a nomad life as soon as I am able to generate some cash on the side ? My spouse is from CM , we are living in China at the moment but will come to CM in July and get married there. So maybe we can catch up for a coffee and idea exchange in CM soon ?!

Over the last couple of weeks a shift has happened while building my online business. I seem to be in the flow - an amazing feeling!! It seems to stem from contributing to the improvement of others while building and growing the enterprise. The business has been thrown forward in a very big way once I found it wasn't just about revenue generation. Some might say The Universe is pushing / pulling me inextricably towards my goal. Very interesting times.

I work as Junior Web Developer, but definitely Graphic Design or Video Editing is more enjoyable to do. Problem solving and dealing with insane code complexity CAN'T be more enjoyable then doing creative beautiful art work. Do you agree or what are your thoughts?

I am finding it tough, as I am finding it hard to find clients at the moment, but it's early days and I am still enjoying it. Nice content. I currently work remotely... I'm thinking about becoming a digital nomad. Maybe start travelling here in Brazil first, there are a lot of places I want to know here before I go abroad.

Sadly for most people you cannot monetize your passions, so you have to choose a career path that you can tolerate and that allows you to live the life you'd like to be living, you need to have great skill to make money in web design and a few of the other things he speaks on, on the other hand you can sell things, relabel products from China, sell on Amazon, there is great money to be had in sales and ecommerce, and forget about passive ecommerce, those days have come and gone, like most of the things he talks about.

A. I have zero ideas of what I want to do as a digital job. (Other than, it needs to be something I can do around taking care of my toddler. So probably a few minutes here and there for a total of an hour or two each day.) B. I don't know how to find out what jobs are available. C. How do I test myself for the available jobs? D. If I need to learn how to do an available job where do I obtain the skills? E. Ok here is my problem,I know where I can go to live,I have a decent laptop, I can finance myself for a while but..... What can I do? I don't have any qualifications ,don't know nothing about finance , software development, computers, design or anything technical. The best practice for beginner in development is to start as intern in web studio or development company, but they don't hire people without specific degree in STEM. How did you find a first job or orders for practise without it at the beginning?
