In Texas here. I thought my gate was bowed until I noticed that it was the 4x4 post on the hinged side that bowed & twisted. Now I have to replace that 4x4. I was going crazy for a while.😡

I’m surprised it didn’t rip or break your fence board, You can also get a piece of angle iron and screw it on the same diagonal on the back of the fence and you don’t have to worry about it warping back. You can also just screw a 2x6 vertically on one post where it’s protruding to make the gate sit perfectly in the closed position, acting as a door stop. You can also push the gate in the perfect closed position and not protrude by screwing a 2x4 from post to post where the warp is sticking out past it, making it sit perfectly in closed position while it starts to straight itself out. All easy methods. The angle iron method is probably the best because it ensures that the gate will never warp that way again

My door is only 3 weeks old. I’ll try this when we have rain in the forecast. Right now it’s just dry heat. Mine is bowed 6 inches same spot as yours. Did you install your boards wet? Mine were super wet fresh batch of wood. I wonder if only using dried wood upon installation would help. Not sure.

My gate has a iron frame

It would be better to go ahead and put a dried treated 2x4 on the back side. Don't take it all apart but lay it over there "frame" and screw it in to each runner.

Nice fix, just put a strap on my gate.

This won't last. Use wire cable. It's easy, cheap and permanent.

That will definitely NOT work as a permanent fix so it's a complete waste of time. It WILL bow again after removal. That's what wood does. You MUST add a permanent fixture such as a turnbuckle.
