Here's my fix on my Genie Excelerator garage door with a broken torsion spring. This repair is difficult and can be dangerous. Please read the disclaimer and use caution. This goes over my way of doing it. Make sure to have the correct spring size, tools, and ability before proceeding. Make sure to have a friend assist you as well to help hold things in place.
