*No lies detected. This is what I've been doing. I started concentrating on bettering myself and just yesterday, realized that I have grown into a person that I really like and love. That was mind blowing! I've never liked myself before now. Either way my marriage goes, I know I'm better and I'm worth being treated right. I am overall, happy, as a person, and God's got me.

I had a problem with my boyfriend six months ago, which lead to our breakup. I felt so empty inside. I am in a emotionally abusive, controlling and alcoholic marriage. I am at my wits end of the daily abuse. I know God has a plan for me... but at the moment I just don't understand or know what it is any more. Surely it can't be to continue to suffer under this abuse?? I find myself daydreaming of escaping from his control...and being free and living in peace with God finally.!!!! I daydream of one day being free from his abusive grasps and free to be at peace with my life and with my Father.

Don’t daydream anymore. Start living the freedom. You control your own actions. You can move out and if he won’t change you can move on. God doesn’t expect a spouse to be abused and stay there and accept it. This isn’t biblical. Today, go get professional counseling. Find a relative/friend you can move in with and leave this mess. Because it’s not what God intended for a marriage. We believe in couples staying together, but it takes both to make an effort. If they won’t get professional help, if they won’t change their ways, there’s no reason to stay. Get safe & get help

I just want to share my experience with the entire world on how i got my husband back and saved my marriage… I was married for 5 years with 2 kids and i have been living happily with my family until things started getting ugly with me and my husband that leads us to fights and arguments almost every time… it got worse at a point that my husband filed for divorce… I tried my best to make him change his mind & stay with me cause i loved him with all my heart and didn't want to loose my husband but everything just didn't work out… he moved out of the house and still went ahead to file for divorce… I pleaded and tried everything but still nothing worked. I am confused as to if I should physically leave w/my toddler to get out of the negative atmosphere of my 8 yr marriage; I realize I have been codependent (due to my childhood) and the reason I married was out of desire to be emotionally fulfilled, something I subconsciously did not know stemmed from the lack thereof in childhood. Over the years, he has become increasingly selfish with his time and attention, the very things all wives/women need to know they're loved. I am at fault because of my lack of boundaries-I know this now. He puts himself first because of my codependency. There is no effort on his part to be a partner. Trying to talk with him or pray about deep matters doesn't go far at all. The question is: should the marriage end? He refuses therapy; I have a therapist, watch videos.. My heart, spirit and mind are exhausted.

I’m so sorry that you’re having to go through this. I can’t tell you the choice you need to make. What I will submit to you is that you make the extent of your pain it clear. Without threatening him, let him know that without effort and commitment to workable solutions or counseling it won’t work. Sometimes, people need to be awakened to the extent of the crisis. Without yelling, insults etc. Sit with him to share your heart. That you want your marriage, but only with his active participation in it
