To get rid of a popcorn ceiling stain 50/50 water and bleach in a spery bottle. Protect everything with a drop cloth and just spray the spot and let dry and it gone.

If it’s not too late try spraying it with bleach and leave it many times it just goes away (PRO TIP) and you won’t have to touch up the ceiling

Even easier and cheaper than this- you can use a diluted bleach solution in a spray bottle to remove the stains all together, many times you don't need any paint at all afterward but that will depend on a few factors. There are YT videos on how to do this.

The bleach and water does not work well on popcorn ceiling due to it will make the popcorn fall off.

@@Sophiecjp You have to go very light with it and do it in several phases. It takes longer and you can never dab the popcorn but it does work. I have in the past used stained popcorn as the excuse to wet and scrape the whole ceiling and redo it with texture, it is a great upgrade. But short of that you can make the bleach work you just have to go slow and light.

That's a good question, and I'm not sure. It does such a great job of covering up, and it's really not expensive, so I would probably give it a try! What have you got to lose?

I completely agree! I didn't have what I needed at the time to film, so I had to make do with what I had! It was really just me putting some plastic drop cloths down and spraying a ceiling. It's that easy! Thanks for your comment!

I showed my landlord he thinks it was leaking from water dripping down but is it condensation?

It really depends. What is above the area where the leak occurred?

@@MoveMeMark there’s only a bathroom I told the landlord and he thinks maybe when he cleaned it drip but it’s the first time I notice it living here 4 years

@@PeytonBourree I wouldn't worry about it too much. If the leak isn't active, and it stops on its own, it might have been a one-time thing. Keep an eye on it and let your landlord know if it gets worse. Hope that helps!

@@PeytonBourree If it's still wet, I wouldn't do anything. Give it a chance to dry before you consider trying to paint over it. Your landlord might have some ideas, as well, as what he wants done to correct it.

The application of use would just be me spraying upward - not that exciting! And I didn’t want any accidental overspray to hit my camera. I put plastic sheeting down before beginning, but I hope the before and after helped!
