Hello Richard, man I tried everything possible and nothing worked, I got a mew carburetor, Replaced the oil sensor and spark plug and nothing until I saw your video, I took the valves cover and it was just like you said, put it back in place and voila... it turned on first try so I want to thank you because of your video I have my generator back...

Upon hearing the engine start up, I hear clacking. This is probably because the magneto is just touching the rotor a tad & needs to be gapped. If this is the case, you'll have a quieter generator guaranteed. That was a problem with mine during Hurricane Lane last weekend. Great post!!

I have the exact same generator, it was running great, and all of a sudden it died under load and then I had no compression when trying to start back up. I will check my pushrods on valves next. Thanks.

I have the same generator and I have never had an issue yet. I run my generator 30 to 60 minutes a month. But it is nice to know if I have a problem there is a solution. Thumbs up

I’m going to check this tomorrow been working on my realtors generator same model as this and my next step was to take of the valve cover and check the adjustment on the valves. I hope 🤞🏿 I can fix this thing

I am working on the same generator. You mentioned the compression was good. Will you tell me what your compression was? Can't get mine to fire, most likely low compression.

Where can I find that red fan shroud where the pull string mounts on

Mine did the exact same thing. The rocker arm nuts vibrated off. one went down so i was lucky to fish it out. after fixing that now the Governor has an issue. Engine is high revving

Richard G I have the exact same generator is my first time using it and I do not have the manual I've put in the oil 10W-30 then I put about 2 gallons of gasoline in and the gasoline was leaking from the bottom where the choke handle the black box that's under the choke handle someone told me that there is a level that you turn on and off but I cannot find it anywhere could youplease help me out I also live in Florida

Where is the push rod?

Mine has issues when its cold, summer it was fine so has to be gas line freeze in my situation however gas is getting to the carb

I got the same generator when I got if from a friend it ran for a long while then shut off. Have to wait a while before starting back up. Now it run for like a couple of minutes and shut off and won't start back up can you guys help me out
