Thanks for the upload. $4 gasket and about an hour later... my leak is gone! My two cents, here, on the removal of the sending unit: Be patient, while carefully twisting and jogging the floater out from the port and you won't bend anything or need to re-adjust anything. Thx again.

1993 DYNA LOWRIDER leaking when full of gas and for a long time I could not figure out where it was coming from . Replaced fuel line and cross over and noticed fuel gage wireslook like they were brittle and broken . I repaired them and filled up the tank and saw a fast drip out of the wiring tube. Thanks for your help.

I couldn't work out what was going on in there, not realising the pipe that the wires are routed through goes the full depth of the tank. I cut the wires and sealed the pipe from outside s an emergency measure.Yesterday i had fuel spill out from under the dummy gas cap........now I know why. again, many thanks.

@eckyspondoolie removing the battery ,,helps to prevent sparks,, ONLY while working on it, ! if you have wires crossed or going to the wrong terminals,, once you hook up POWER , you will still have a problem.. but yes , you have stated the obvious.

my main question still remains, The orange and black wires that go through the tank, hook to what.? im guessing black is a ground, and orange is power,,when the ignition is on,,right.? does anyone know. Tom in NJ

Hey ,,if you can get in touch with me I really could use your help,, to figure out what wires go where on that fuel sending unit, I bought a used tank, and the guy cut the wires,, my bike, had the smooth FLXR tank before that,, with no gas gauge.. any help is appreciated.! Hey great video, however I can't get my gauge out, it come up 1/4 " but will not pop out, any idea's, it's a 94 roadking, the gauge looks exactly like yours, has same side clips that I can see have come loose but it will not elevate...Tnx

nice video but i gues you have never held gas in a polly bag for long then??? it affects the plastic in no time.
