I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYONE PUT THE WHEEL ON TO TIGHTEN THE AXLE NUT BEFORE. THAT IS DEFINITELY A "BACKYARD MECHANIC" METHOD HAHA

My 2010 just had the same issue. You did that whole thing on your back? It's a bear just doing it with a lift. My hat hat is off to you! Good job, good video!

So if you use friction modifiers and don't change out the seals it will leak? I'm pretty sure a lot of folks have just changed fluid and didn't experience any leaking. Looking to purchase a 10 Camaro that makes a small rubbing noise at low speeds. Not sure on the issue though. Any help would be awesome. Good video btw

Great video. I need to do this axle seal real soon. It looks just like that one on my matrix awd, but I look for oil drops on the ground But I can't find it. Just changed my gear oil a month ago, that's when I noticed the small leak on my axle seal. It is not dripping oil, but it sure does look like this one on the video. Should I do asap or it can wait? Thx.

WHY DID YOU TAKE THE BOTTOM CONTROL ARMS OFF? THE TOP ONE IS MUCH EASIER TO TAKE OFF AND JUST LOOSEN THE BOTTOM TO BOLTS AT THE KNUCKLE LOL

So differential fluid leaks from the deal? Because mine is leaking from the right seal and my whole diff was covered in grease. My car feels kinda wobbly sometimes when making fast turns from the rear .

Great video. Took it to the dealer n there gettin my axle replace n the differential because they took a look under n it was leaking. My question is how can you know if your differential is really leaking or fuckd up, what can I look for or when driving to notice this kind of problem?

klowny1969 the reae diff seal was leaking but when they went to replace it wid new seal they realize the axle was no good

Rtcharger 1107 oh ok..if a diff goes, i hear whining or chatter in the rear..an axle usually clicks or vibrates sometimes

I changed the seals and now it’s making a slight grinding noise I check the fluid level it’s good any ideas ? It was working good before I changed the seals I’m just curious if for some reason I messed up the gears or something

+Jordan Hannah something like that i would have to verify it by driving it..but if in fact it is a rubbing noise..it can be alot of things..is the car lowered? fatter tires? rearend locking up..suspension worn etc..
