Thanks so much for this. The mechanism that actually lowers that tab had broken. I was able to fix it and reinstall everything but would not have known where to start without this. Thanks again.

Helpful video! I would recommend following the right side of the steel rod to get to the latch.

Thanks for your Video showing how to do it ! Just had to break into my 2010 CR-V glovebox. It is very helpful to use a mirror to see inside the glovebox to locate the latch .

I used this video for my 2011crv. I used a mirror to see what was there. I use a metal finger nail file and had the cover open working it RIGHT of the metal bar. Once the cover came off i just used my finger to press down on the latch tab to get it open.

@@chrisjeffery1594 I got the panel in the back of the upper glove compartment area off, grabbed what i needed, and gave up. Didn’t have anything small enough to pry off the second one and it was a pain to try with my fingers

@@jonhollister5612 Im sure an old cheap spoon or fork would work if you bent the top off? Or maybe an old wire hanger bent a few times.
