Thank you so so so much! Phase 1 fixed my Alienware m15 r6! Could you tell me as to why this issue even happens? Like what should I replace?

What happens is your computer can have a build up of what is called flea power. Another way of putting it is a residual or static electricity that remains in certain electrical components. This build up can cause your computer to fail to turn on, turn on then off, freeze, have a black screen issue, etc. Some repair shops will charge people to do this five minute repair. It's often referred to as a "hard reset". It's hard to prevent because it can be caused just by every day use but it is good to know how to do this simple procedure...Save yourself some $$$.

This happened to me when I got a 240 watt charger for my M15. This fixed my issue, But I realized the battery was bulged and needed to get replaced.

Oh the batteries swelling in Dell and Alienware computers has been a big problem. It's good you got that replaced.

@Mengchiv Bun I can understand not wanting to open it. The only other things you could try before open it up is try plugging it in a different outlet. It sounds simple but it works. Also try testing or getting a new power cord although this is the least likely possibility. We have a video on how to test your power cord below: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qrupiM-QzNGcfGg.html Also if you are nervous about opening up maybe watch a disassembly video. Sometimes its a matter of removing one small panel. Hope this helps!

I have a m17 laptop and it will not turn on. I already had Dell replace the motherboard, charging port, charger, and logic board. Is there anything else that will need replaced? (Its still under warranty and the laptop has been doing this for 4 months and just did it for the 3rd time)

I would ask them if you can the laptop exchanged for a new laptop. Sometimes when the laptop is that new they will do it. It sound like there is a short somewhere that is causing issues and it keeps causing issues.

I have an M17 R3. I’ve been having distortion problems. Dell had me send them my PC twice, they sent technician to my house 6 times. The distortion is still there. You can check my videos on my chanel. I’m now also having ‘’won’t turn on’’ issues. I tried everything you showed in the video and the PC will still not turn on…

My Alienware laptop it's a newer version turn off Monday in the middle of playing a game completely shut down and won't turn back on it's been months we have tried everything there is to try even taking it apart and cleaning it and putting it back together new power cord everything it won't turn on what could be the problem

my alienware 17 got hit by a power surge years ago and it turns on but beeps 7 times. I derped and tried these methods but realized the power cable wasn't properly plugged into the charger block thingy and saw the light come on, I laughed, plugged it in, finally in years I saw picture but it said, "no boot device found" then press any key to restart but it gave me no picture again, turned it off and back on and it beeps 7 times again. I gotta find out what this means, the last dell tech I had out for my desktop said try a hdmi in another screen but that didn't work. Time for some more research.

A beep code of 7 can be an issue with the processor or motherboard. Have you tried a BIOS reset? It can often times fix errors like this. Here is a video on how to do it: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mMCDrZCbz8vcoYE.html

Sounds like you may need to replace the battery. Also I wouldn't keep trying to use it with the battery. It could cause further problems.

If it has problems with battery installed but doesn't have problems with battery uninstalled then you may want to replace the battery. I'm happy to hear its back to working!! Good job troubleshooting:)

7 Beeps usually indicate a CPU issue. I would try a BIOS reset. It resets the computers base system and can sometimes help with a problem like this. Here is a video on how to do that: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/apd0qrVplrPblmg.html

4 1 can be a sign of a problem with the battery or power cord. Is the battery charging?

@@leichaoblano.1654 Ok then it could be a bad battery. Some times when a battery is having problems it well show up as charged. However, the computer will die when you unplug it.

I just bought a alienware m11xr3 and when I press the power button to turn the screen on, it shows up as a blue screen with some static lines on the top half of the screen then beeps 8 times signaling LCD failure. I am not sure what to do nor what exactly needs replacing. The screen? The LCD cable? is it something else, or something that isn't plugged in all the way? I have tried taking out the RAMs one at a time, cleaning the RAMs, following the steps in this video.

Sounds like you may a LCD or LCD cable problem but if you want to make sure before you do all that work. I would try and get it to display to an external monitor. If it displays to the monitor then you need the laptop works just not the LCD or LCD cable. You can use a TV with a HDMI cord if you don't have a monitor. Let me know how it goes:)

@@QuentinDarrentino Yes as long as you have an HDMI port on your computer that should work. Yes a BIOS reset is always worth a shot although it is a less likely solution. Let me know how it goes:)

@@EggheadFixers I have taken the laptop apart and am trying to disassemble the coin cell battery, do I just unplug the coin cell, or do I take out the entire coin cell, as the other part of it is not wanting to lift up from the laptop

You can still still do it but you will have to look up a disassembly video on how to get inside you laptop so you can unplug and do the same procedure. Let me know how it goes:)

@@EggheadFixers the screen doesn’t turn on, and the computer turns on for like 10 seconds then turns off. Also I bought this laptop brand new less than 6 months ago so I don’t feel like it should be having many problems. It would make sense for it to stop working over time but I wouldn’t have expected to need to make repairs before having it for 6 months. Is this normal?

@@tdwwolf6107 No that is not normal. Although if you bought it 6 months ago then it should still be under warranty. Dell/ Alienware typically comes with a 1-year warranty. I would suggest calling in the problem right away. Let me know how it goes.

@@mebearq5843 a it must use the laptop battery as a CMOS battery. Some models do not have separate CMOS batteries. Does it recognize the charger when it is plugged in?

@@EggheadFixersit won’t turn on when I press the power button after sleep mode. When I press the button the keyboard turns on (rainbow colors) for half a second. It does it a few times for about 2 minutes and then fully turns off. I tried everything you showed in the video.

My sister came to me crying as her laptop wasn't being turned on. I tried some little keyboard tricks but nothing worked, but after watching this vid and following the instructions it finally worked 😂, she started to jump, and i got a food treat from her the next day 😅
