This FCC Hack can force any DJI drone from CE into FCC mode; no changes are made to the drone itself. This means no risk of affecting the drone's firmware or its flight controller, no risk of losing your Care Refresh insurance. 3rd party apps do not invalidate Care Refresh like modifying the drone's firmware does. This video is for informational purposes only. I was also informed that using this version of the app removes the 120m height limit within the DJI Fly App for Mini 4 owners in the EU. FAQ about Drone-Tweaks
WHY CHOOSE DRONE-TWEAKS?/*
1. First and foremost, there are no changes done to the drone itself. This means no risk of affecting the drone's firmware or its flight controller, no risk of losing your Care Refresh insurance. 3rd party apps do not invalidate Care Refresh like modifying the drone's firmware does.
2. The app can be used with an unlimited number of drones. You don't need a license for each drone, you don't need to get a new license when you buy a new drone or when you get a replacement after a crash. You only need one license for all your drones.
3. There is no additional app to start before flying, no special procedure, no extra steps. You just use this modified app in the same exact way you used the normal app.
4. The iOS application comes already signed. This means you just tap to install and you're ready to go. No need to go through the process of paying for a signing certificate and then actually doing the signing yourself.
SO IS THIS A DIFFERENT APP?
This is a modified version of the official app. You will use it in exactly the same way you use the official app, you will login using the same DJI account, but your drone will always remain in FCC mode.

CAN I USE MULTIPLE DRONES?

Thanks for the video! Once the App is installed in the phone there's hope. Since a week there's a chat with Drone Tweaks to get forward on an old Android phone. Getting the APK file into the phone has been refused so far. Cross Your fingers.

That’s some expensive stuff for less then a year of online ffc mode. Add 10$ more and you get 10 years of ffc including nfz, altitude limit and much more. No app needed, just upgraded patched software.

I can't find the DJI Mini 3 on Drone Hacks for this FCC option or Altitude Limiting beyond 500 Meters! Only the Mini 3 Pro! I can do nothing now? No hacks?

First of all thanks for the new video. Before I make the change to FCC, I have a question: If I fly on FCC for a very long distance, and the connection between the controller and the drone is lost, does it always stay on FCC, or does it go back to CE? Because if it returns to CE, in fact the drone may be completely out of range of the controller and never come back.

It reverts to CE mode, so you are correct, it is quite questionable to use FCC mode with RC controllers. No problem with RC-N1 or N2.

It stops working. The guys at drone-tweaks want you to pay again after one year. 2 reasons why -- because when DJI releases an update to their official app, the guys over at drone-tweaks have to reverse-engineer and crack/modify it again, second reason being this sort of business won't last for long so they're trying to make as much money as they possibly can. DJI could kill their business very easily if they find out and want to. Also, the reason why DJI enforces these limitations and tries to adhere to EU regulations is because they want to keep their ass out of legal trouble so it's completely understandable on their part. In reality people in the EU would continue to try to break the law.

errrr.... NO! but will the authorities be actively hunting for it?.... probably not, however it anything does ever go wrong & they are checking things it will be something they take note of & something they will use against you to undermine your credibility in whatever else they are trying to charge you for. Commonly known as giving people enough rope to hang themselves. Think of it like "chipping" your car engine for extra performance. Yes it works. No they generally won't notice but if they do it could be a problem for you. Hands up how many people are concerned about RID?.... what they don't tell you is that RID is peanut power & they can already "sniff" the main telemetry also showing your location & drone location & this can be done at greater ranges than the raw RID. You flip FCC mode on & you are really "shouting" your presence & they can detect you even further away so FCC mode isn't a good idea if you don't want them watching you (5.8GHz FCC is 16 times the CE power so you WILL be noticed from further away). Personally it doesn't bother me if people use FCC or not but I can see how it would be used against people in court.... they are more likely to pick people up for range or BVLoS infringements, but will then use the fact that you knew you would be needing the extra power of FCC to allow you to do it hence your defence that it was an accidental flight violation gets blown out the water & they can do you for knowing & premeditated violation (& can just throw the OfCom or EU OfCom equivalent FCC violation in there as a bonus).

I would have to agree with your comment and I am very surprised that this channel is promoting fliers to break the rules in this way. This move is involving yet another regulatory body to try and kill our hobby as this is not controlled by EASA/CAA (depending where you are flying). Is this the way we really want to go?
