After using my Sennheiser headphones for years, I broke them accidentally. In this video I'll show you how to fix them. As long as the electronics haven't been damaged, this should work very well.
I got these fantastic Sennheiser HD 280 pro headphones second-hand in 2015, and estimate that I've used them for about 10,000 hours since. They still sound great, considering I've stepped on them, dropped them hundreds of times, and man handle the cable on a daily basis.
If after all of that they require a simple repair to work like new, I highly recommend them - if you're interested, I found these exact headphones on eBay: rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53...
I repaired and filmed this video last year (Nov/Dec 2019) - and I've used these headphones for hundreds of hours since and it has held up! They aren't adjustable anymore, but I haven't found that to be a problem.

I spent 500 AUD on my focal elgias and the band is metal but not under the padding, its plastic.... so they just broke taking them off because the drivers are heavy as.

I have a pair of Razer BlackShark V2 Pro. And for me, the left headphone has a really loose band. (It's not broken, but it's really loose when I put it on.) Is there anything I can do to make it a little less uncomfortable?

I'd have to take a look in person, but taking a look of pictures of it online, it seems possible the metal wires have become bent in a way where they don't press against the band so they can get leverage against your ear. Hope this makes sense.

I have a Steelseries arctis nova 1 and it's left handle just broke idek WHT happened w it. I tried using tape 😅 to fix it doesn't work

What to do if I step on the cable and a headphone isn't working anymore? The headphones doesn't have any screws are encapsulated.

I assume you stepped on the cable which ripped on on internal wire. You probably need to replace the entire cable if you can't cut and resold it together. What headphones are those?

I fixed these headphones a year and a half ago. And I'm wearing them right now, with no issues so far. I think it's worth trying to fix them.

I tried to put on my itek aer but my head was too big it broke suddenly 😭😭😭😭😭 I barely exerted any force and it just broke 😭

It's a different uncommon adhesive, but 100% silicone glue should work too. Almost any adhesive would work in this circumstance.

No, Good quality heavy duty (STICKY) Duct Tape is much simpler and easy and less messy to use and your headphone band can still be adjustable and not fixed in one place!

A good idea, mine were damaged beyond what duct tape could do to ensure they were still enough, it was my second time repairing these.

I didn't use too many tool, Glue and zip ties are good enough

While it works, this is a terrible job. But partially/mostly responsible is the anti-repair construction of most headsets. It's not like if you made a perfect new band, you'd be able to just screw off the old one and put a new one on. Every joint is cheap fragile proprietary plastic snap shit.

@@Yonatan24 It's great that it still works, but unfortunately the manufacturers did their best to ensure it was not made to be repaired elegantly without excessive effort. I still think your video is a good video. It's good to know the bad techniques we have to resort to when dealing with bad products. It's clever of you to find a solid way to structurally support such a flimsy headband.
