How To Fix Burner Not Lighting on Gas Stove

In today's quick video I show you how to fix burner not lighting on gas stove as well as stove clicking but wont light. My father showed me an awesome little hack many many years ago to get your stove top range working again if the burner does not light.
Over time, cooking food with grease and other particles can clog a tiny little hole that prevents the gas from getting to the ignitor. Using a simple small paper clip or compressed air, you can clear out this little hole which allows the gas to reach the ignitor and light.

Today 4/5 of my burners stopped working, only the smallest one would lite. Using a paper clip and paper towel I wiped everything down and poked the hole. This fixed them all, thank you & big thumbs up.

This is the best video I've come across in a long time. My burner's hole is inside and I've always suspected that it got clogged. Then last week i was cooking a watery meal that spilled unnoticed and water got into my other burner and it stopped working altogether so i realised that the reason why the first one stopped working was due to clogging. As I'm cleaning my stove now i decided to look for a video of what to do and yours came up and saved the day. My first one hasn't been in use for over a year now

This morning I was going to make myself some breakfast and I go to turn on the stove and the front burner wouldn't turn on and I tried turning on the rest and it would just do the click sound. After watching this video I did basically the same thing however my stove is a bit different so I was kind of worried that it wouldn't work but surprisingly it did! Thank you for the tips.

One of my burners is low and only half useless flame, I only get little useless heat from it. 🤷‍♀️ I’ll try the paper clip. The ignite went years ago I light it manually. Thank you, I really like your video, and advice.

Hope you are able to get it resolved! Maybe try cleaning the inside hole where the gas come out from. Maybe it's clogged their too.

I tried you quick trick and it worked for the left side, but it didn’t for the right side. I still get a click from the igniter, and nothing happens except for the smell of gas. Now, if I turn on the back burner I can light the front burner.

Do you see spark on your right burner? I would try using an SOS pad and gently cleaning the ignitor tip

Great video. Have a Electrolux gas stove and the inside light will not turn off. Turned off the circuit breaker to stove and after 3-4 minutes turned it back on and the light still stays on. There is a light button on the control panel to press to turn light off . First time it has ever happened and stove does not get a lot of use and is about 5 years old. Any suggestions? Thanks.......

Have you tried unplugging it from power for 10 minutes then plugging it back in? Sometimes that can help reset everything.

What if it doesn’t click, bad ignitor? Can you change those out?

Do you see spark? Try cleaning the ignitor tip gently with an SOS pad. But yeah, ignitors are cheap and easy to fix. You should see spark if it's working properly

Sir ive tried everything you've said and yes the ignition works. Ive cleaned everything but on mine i see no hole in any of the burners (electrolux auto ignition 4 stove) and not one of them lights up. Gas glow fine as well. 😢

Try cleaning the top of the ignitor. If you still don't get spark, try replacing the ignitor. They are cheap

Do you see spark? Maybe your ignitors are out. And you should smell gas if everything is working properly. Sounds more like a gas issue if all four burners are not working.

Check your gas lines! Make sure they are not leaking. It may also be your gas regulator went out

Try cleaning the ignitor tip with a non-scratch SOS pad or something similar. If that doesn't work, perhaps the ignitor is bad.

@@Brownmama99 hmmm. Can you see the spark? Try using an sos pad and clean the top of the ignitor. Gunk can build on it sometimes causes a weak spark
