Just finished replacing both camshaft position sensors and the crank sensor on my gf's 1.8 sonic. Oh boy was that crank sensor not fun. I discovered new forms of profanity I didn't even know existed till they came out of my mouth. Whatever engineer decided to bury that thing inside the bell housing and behind a starter that was murder to get out and in deserves the worst thing anyone could ever imagine. Still didn't fix the issue. Going to replace the vvt solenoids next... I replaced the timing belt and tensioner last year and it ran fine this whole time.

I cleaned the solenoid changed the cam and the crankshaft sensors and I still get the code. My car drives perfect too. 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander.

My 2014 Chevy Sonic displays the code P0365 which is the Camshaft position sensor B, I changed it but the code P0365 still persists, What do you think is the real problem?

I have a 2007 tahoe with the 5.3 liter v8 flex fuel. I had the p0016 code and actually changed my camshaft position sensor about a month ago but it didn't get rid of the code even tho it definitely needed to be changed. Just wanted to know why I would still have the code popping back up? Do you think maybe I need to change the crankshaft position sensor now maybe? It runs good but when I first start it up for that day and leave my driveway it does feel sluggish right away but then after 20 seconds or so it starts ro drive good again like normal for a 17yr old tahoe anyways. Just trying to get some ideas. Thank you very much for your time and help with this matter.

Just hope it’s not the timing chain. I currently have this code on my Malibu but it runs and sounds fine but I am overdue for an oil change. Mechanic thinks it’s most likely the solenoids and to start with an oil change and see if the code comes back then go from there if it does. So pray for me lol

I just got this code, a few days ago, after my oil change, the oil change was way due past 4k miles or so...Ive only replaced these solednoids sensors 1once since I have owned the car... about 2 years back

I wish it was easy getting to my crankshaft sensor on my 2012 Buick Verano. Dam* thing under the oil filter and it’s hard get to it. Had code p0016 & p0017. I’ve changed the camshaft sensor that was easy get to.

In my non-expert opinion, my p0340, p0300, p0016 and p0141 error codes...make me believe there's a problem either with a loose timing belt on my 2011 Chevy Aveo or a bad distribution alignment . What do you think ?

what would be the reason the code and problem goes away and comes back after a start? I replaced my cam and crank sensors and while testing it would start up regular and the code and engine light would dissapear. After turning the engine off and on again it would go back to cranking longer to start and the light would come back on. I have a 2017 kia forte5 lx 2.0
