How To Fix Hoverboard Spinning in Circles by itself or Violently Vibrating

If you have a hoverboard which either violently vibrates or spins in circles on it's own even after you have stepped off the board you have an air pocket under the rubber foot grip.
In this video I will show you how to diagnose that you do indeed have this problem, as well as two ways to fix it.
The first fix is the proper fix and involves taking all the components out of the board and lifting the foot pad out from the bottom, making a slit in the rubber and putting it all back together.
The second easier fix, though not as ideal, but will work, is just taking a pin or an exacto knife and making some holes in the rubber foot pad from the top. With this method you don't have to take the board apart.

I have a razor hovertrax and whenever i on it, it just goes violent and starts spinning and all those stuff, so the problem is i have to calibriatew it right?

Mine is really tight in the middle to the extent that it won't turn unless my feet are at the very end touching the sides. If I stand normally the pivot is so tight it basically won't turn at all. Does anyone know how to fix this?

mines is working but when i get on it ; it instantly goes forward so i cant even use it please help also i tried recalibrating it it just did a continously alert noise and im scared to keep going

I had a friend that this happened to and he was so pissed off he threw it off his balcony and some homeless man picked it up and three weeks later was riding it so your video i can only guess he watched and fixed it LOL my friend is still salty to this day

you need a new gyroscope. technically one gyro should fix it though many people have better luck just replacing both gyros when one goes out. some people say it works best having two matching gyros. amzn.to/2bzYzTZ

Wondering if you can help me figure out what is wrong with my sons hoverboard. The right side wasn't working so I bought a new sensor pad and when I put it in it worked except it's extremely fast on that side with the slightest touch spins out of control . Can't even touch that side without it violently spinning! Can you help me figure this out ! I'm out of ideas!

Yeah. I share a bit of everybody's problems lol It worked fine, before I changed it to "novice" mode, which is supposed to make it go 40% slower than the norm. Once I changed it to novice, the hoverboard started moving on its on..and not only that, but 1 of the pads doesn't even seem to work properly. Any tips?

Ok my problem is that when I switch it on the blue light on the right side will switch on and not turn off and this will cause that side to shake side to side. I can still ride it fine. What should I do? Is it the same problem?

I have this problem... I need to put alot of weight on the pad to make it reconize that I am having my foot on it so plz help. and my hoverboard is new I got it yester day

you need to be at least 50 pounds to ride it so it should require a lot of weight on it. not sure what you mean by a lot of weight. are you trying to just push on it with your hands and want it to move? you should be standing on it with your full weight.

When I take my left foot off of the mat, the light goes off, but when I take my right foot off…the light remains on and it doesn’t turn off after removing my right foot off of it, it also vibrates and beeps a lot, jolts when turning as well.

+Lonnie Washington first possible problem is just air pockets under the foot pads although i somewhat doubt thats the issue as it typically doesn't happen to both sides at once. i have a video about how to fix this and it requires no new parts. more than likely however you need two new gyros. here's one of the best deals around 2 gyros for $49. amzn.to/1UJRe60

I believe everyone with a. Hoverboard appreciates you taking time to show and troubleshoot anything regarding them. So we thank you for that. Problem was on this video, it clearly states you showing us. But it's only telling us. I perfectly understand what you mean throughout your video. But the only reason I understand is because I saw prior videos showing me how to fix it. I'm just giving you consecutive criticism on the video. Nothing more nothing less.
