How to FIX Mi flash unlock tool not detecting Xiaomi phone and unlock!

You have decided to finally unlock your beloved Xiaomi Phone and you have entered the fastboot menu. You have downloaded the Mi Unlock tool but it does simply not connect.
Let me save all the frustration - check all the fixes and the ultimate solution to this issue!
To DISABLE Windows Driver Signature Enforcement open a command prompt and type
▶ bcdedit /set TESTSIGNING OFF
To ENABLE it start CMD and type
▶ bcdedit /set TESTSIGNING ON
Download XiaoMiTool V2
▶ www.xiaomitool.com/V2/
Apply for Mi Unlock and download Mi Unlock Tool

This kinda helped, but instead of downloading an unofficial tool which could be a potential security risk, I noticed there was an unrecognized USB device in the Device Manager, so I went to Windows Update, and under Optional Updates, I installed one that was missing, look for something USB related. Then my device was recognized by the MI Unlock Tool. That was it, I didn't do anything else, now I just need to wait 7 days (and hopefully won't receive a phone call...). Thanks for the vid, you really tried all options.

i cant execute this command, i get: An error has occurred setting the element data. The value is protected by Secure Boot policy and cannot be modified or deleted.

@@VelianSpeaksTech I was actually thinking about what rom to use. Would you say Xiaomi.eu (12.5) would be better than, lets say, Stock 12.0.14? I've read that Stock 12.5 is pretty bad, but I don't know if Xiaomi.eu 12.5 would be better. All I want is an AOD that doesn't turn of after 10 seconds...

Thank you. This worked. Mi unlock tool did not recognize my phone until i downloaded the mi tool and restarted pc! Thanks to you i was able to unlock the phone. (Xiaomi no longer sends verification sms, just use their app and it will unlock and wipe your phone)

btw if you use the XiaoMiTool, it has the function to unlock the phone as well, but it does not work right know, because xiaomi changed the api. You need to use the tool from them.

Thanks for this video! I stumbled upon it while trying to unlock my Mi 10 Lite 5G, the tool you mentioned worked perfectly for installing the drivers. It finally showed up in the unlocker tool after that, but now I have to wait 360 hours for Xiaomi to allow me to unlock it lol
