HOW TO FIX PS4 ETHERNET LAN CABLE NOT CONNECTING PS4 PRO SLIM PHAT

It could be your ETHERNET LAN cable is on the cheap side (while my ETHERNET LAN cable works fine on my PC) It could be the make does not fit snugly on the PS4 LAN PORT.
Trial and error can work by inserting it with a little bit of tweak or tilt and it can finally connect with enough tries though Its advised the you do it gently.
You can also reset or turn of the PS4, update latest firmware or reset PS4 data.
Try using a different ETHERNET CABLE or buy a better quality one.
If all options are exhausted send the unit over to SONY service centre for checking (if it my be a faulty ETHERNET PORT) and get it repaired and get your unit cleaned up as well. Or trade it in for a new one.

Okay bro listen ye you have to ye know whenever you test it wireless when you do then go to connection status and take a picture of all the settings after go to lan cable there’s gonna be some kind of option then do manual and write eveuthing in simple bro

I have a 100 ft cable and it connects but every time I play I get disconnected and it says lan cable not connected. So I get booted out of everything, but its only for a split second. Why is that.

this isn't what happens to me, but it's similar, my ps4 slim recognizes the lan cable but when I'm playing it suddenly disconnects and connects again but that makes me come out of the match I'm playing and it really annoys me, so you think this will help to fix that problem?

Mine fails immediately- no I.P. address acquired. I tried turning off my console, modem and router and re-do the PS4 Pro Network LAN all over again and it still gives me the same error. I sent my PS4 Pro to get serviced- TWICE- and they've returned back to me saying they ran diagnostics and they cannot duplicate what I ran across. But, my PS4 Pro works well on WiFi? (Go figure)

I didnt have the same problem as most people, i recently moved house and previously i had two internets as the connection was not great but since we moved that one has stopped working so now i have decided to get a longer lan-cable that now goes to my only router.

If you recieved a LAN cable with your router it should work if it isn’t try resetting your router and your PS4 this worked for me

The HardBallers there are 2 internet cabel connector one u connect to ps and one to wifi the one which u connect to internet unplug from the back and there should be another input behind wifi so plug it on a different slot

767 NoLxve ツ the problem came back, what I do is turn off the router then turn off ps4, once router is back on, turn on ps4 but unplug the lan cable to make it ask for the lan cable after choosing easy then it should recognize it but even for me it does whatever it feels like, so ridiculous to have this issue when both items work UGH

So yesterday I turned on my PS4 and started a game, it took alot of time so I went to test internet connection and I saw that I was getting less than 500kbps download speed and upload speed was fine, I tried wireless and it was fine aswell. The lan cable was a new one and it was working perfectly. Can this be a lan port problem cuz sometimes I would get lan cable not connected error while it was actually connected

It won't work for everyone. Every unit has a different defect or issue. You can just stick to wifi and not play competitive online games or take it to sony service center or get a new one maybe trade it in. All things break.

Hey I play fortnite and I would have bad ping and I bought a lan cable and it literally made no difference I tried putting DNS and restarting my internet and nothing helps sometime my ping would be at 19 but it’s been over 2 weeks and I’ve been having 50-100 ping and I’m playing the right servers

@@askinhd3653 change the cable from LAN to PS4, PS4 to LAN. But the problem would still happen for me after restarting the PS4. What you can really check is to setup the LAN connection back, but now without any custom setting including DNS. Works great for me.

sorry. as I mentioned it does not work for everybody. Have you tried all options? If all options are exhausted send the unit over to SONY service centre for checking (if it my be a faulty ETHERNET PORT) and get it repaired and get your unit cleaned up as well. Or trade it in for a new one.

If not bring your unit to local Sony service center. That's the best option. Or sell it get a used one in good condition or buy when its on sale like december last year
