How sturdy will this be? Would it be worth using a sewing machine to stitch through the actual plastic?

The glue will definitely hold up for a while and be decently sturdy but adding the stitches will for sure make it 100% complete restoration and incase the glue were to give out over time the stitches would still keep the SnapBack in place.

Hi I recently aquired a 300 plus collection of vintage hats from the 1980's very cool collection. I have some hats that are just trashed the inside lining of the brim disintegrated and is all falling out causing a mess. I have no idea what type of material they used back them but it's horrible.

We actually just found 2 hat like that in our newest video dropping tomorrow. But yes a lot of older hats seems to have that issue. Best way we know to fix it is to just scrape and then vacuum it out. Sometimes there might be a slight tacky glue residue on there that may need to be cleaned off after also. Then wear or sell it as is.
