It would be sweet to see a demonstration and dissection of a Cleartrak Workhorse. I've been considering purchasing one for my carpet cleaning company. A lot of my colleagues use them and like them.

I recently had a Bissell Powerforce Helix vacuum, model 12B1, I believe, and it actually had one of its rear end hose locking tabs broken off, making the machine not pick up dirt, and even at that, I also experienced a brushroll that got bound up, seizing both of its end caps, and when I turned on the power, even with a new belt, the vacuum started ruining the belt, by letting the motor shaft rub and create friction, causing the thing to sound weird, and actually smoke, so I had to throw the Bissell away in our dumpster! Fortunately, I still have a Eureka Contour bagged upright vacuum, model 2900A, and it works good, except it can use a new handle, style HF7 HEPA filter, a new crevice tool and extension wand, since they're not with the unit, when I got it home from another dumpster, years ago!

About the only thing I like about bissell is it’s still a privately owned American company that is also very philanthropic. It’s also the last.

I have a trash picked Bissell Cleanview swivel pet model 2316 (green) that looks like it may have bit the dust on it’s maiden vacuum! (serial number starts with “23”, signaling that was made this year) The brushroll, soleplate, and height adjuster are missing, but there is belt melt damage in the belt area. Miraculously, the belt did not break and shows surprisingly little damage. And also this unit is so clean, I think this happened on the very first time it was used! I think this model is in the same class as the Bissell swivel pet 2252, which, according to some Amazon reviews, is a fire hazard because of poor design of the belt area. I did a review of that particular vacuum (“Marshall Curtis” “Bissell model 2252”). I will be making a video about this model (model 2316) soon.

It’s so sad seeing this after seeing your extensive Hoover collection. There are no more Hoover Convertibles and Celebrities (straight suction) where people could buy machines priced like this Bissell and they would last for at least a dozen years and often more. Today’s machines melt where it matters.

Here in Iowa, fewer and fewer vacuum stores are left. I spoke with a gentleman going out of business in Marshalltown Iowa. I told him I blamed it on Dyson and Shark. He blamed it on Amazon. The problem is Miele, Lindhaus, Riccar, MD, Sebo don't spend much money marketing. I didn't know these brands existed until our Oreck died and felt like I needed to research better options.

I have a clearview bissell and I've been cleaning it consistently probably once a month, always emptying it out and checking filter but recently the filter keeps keeping clogged by debris. Like If I pick up cereal, it will build up on the top filter instead of inside the vacuum cleaner. Why does this keep happening?

This design and machine are junk. You should save up for a better replacement like a SEBO or Miele
