Incase anyone else wondered - I have the Void Wireless, and the mic broke in exactly the same spot. Followed this tutorial, and it's fixed, yay! Boom can now move up and down again, and work as it should. Thanks again for the tutorial 8D

You are a lifesaver. I was going to try and cut the cord and use them as just headphones, but I'm glad to see I don't have to. I am going to try and improve upon the repair with a soldering gun as well.

Great video, saved my headset! I have the wireless version and there's a slight difference. the joint where the arm pivots has a plastic raised socket that inserts over a plug on the housing and another screw the other side holding but.... There's an electronic board in the wireless that's bigger than the one here and it also needs to be removed (Or a few screws removed to give play) to allow you to remove/reinsert the joint as it' partially underneath. Don't write your headset off yet, it can be saved! XD

I have a different problem with the arm, the microphone only works when the arm is completely straight if I try to bend it any direction the microphone will stop working, any ideas on how to fix it? Great... Now it doesn't work at all.

Thanks for the video. It turned out to be a lot more fiddly than what you made it look but it worked (and I am a bit cack handed). People with a better memory than me might remember which screws went into which holes in the inner part but I didn't and screwed some into the wrong place which meant I couldn't get the outer cover on. I also ended up with an extra screw when I had finished. It should have gone in the inner part somewhere. But all's well that ends well. Thanks again.

one of my screws is majorly stuck. got all of them out except this last 1. tried the rubber band trick with my phillips head, no luck. any ideas on how to get it out?

My voids are almost 3 years old now, mic snapped but I fucked it up worse by putting on superglue improperly. But I will just strip all the rubberized bits and then redo it, maybe some Q bond will make it better

my issue is that the wire at the base of the headset is causing constant disconnect from the system when I move my head. I assume it's a buggered wire but that plastic bits gonna be and issue... go for the wireless if anything or get something with a sheathed cable cause this is bull. It's actually causing youtube and other apps to update and requires a refresh.

My mic its fine but left side earphone its almost inaudible, someone knows whats this might be????

I have the wireless and mine broke about 2 inches below the tip, right below the actual mic part. It literally bent and came off completely, and I had to rip it off. I'm trying to just take the mic out completely, or atleast buy a replacement mic and put it in, which is probably not possible

Hay man was wondering if you could help me with my headset, got exactly the same headset but now my left side sound is not working anymore for no reason what so ever it was working fine last night and now it just doesn't work. Mine didn't break there, but the rubber itself has cracked just above, right before it becomes wider. Anyone have any success with gluing it there, and what sort of glue would be recommended?

but what if i pulled it and broke off the cables from the ear speaker ? help!! dont want to spend 80 bucks on a new headset ???
