Yes, most likely its a bad replacement battery.

My bettery works 2h , is it possible it is damagged or needs to be replaced? Laptop works properly with unpluged battery ( internal battery) and charges it properly after it is connected 1 or 2 times only. Monitor shows Low battery arror and PC even does not turn on. After batter is disconnected again - it works properly with charger pluged in ... I bought new battery on Amazon but it was same problem

With normal laptops, your best sticking with the OEM brand name stock battery. Other 'upgrades' can compromise performance and rarely work as long or as well as they claim. Best bet is to just keep your battery healthy by not having the power cord plugged in all the time. Batteries need to regularly discharge and be charged to stay healthy.

Sometimes you can calibrate it depending on your computer. You would have to explore BIOS for those options if your computer has it. However, in my experience, only about 60% of generic batteries work. I would try getting a brand name one if you cant find any options to calibrate it.

If the batter being in the computer is causing all those issues, and the computer runs fine without it, I would assume the battery is bad. Try replacing it and see if the issues continue :)

Yes. Unless the battery is not just dead but also is seen to be dangerous by the computer. In that case you would have to remove it for the computer to work

Try restarting the computer and trying again. If it still errors, it may not be a big issue. It may take care of itself over time

What is the brand and model number for your computer? Usually its found on the bottom of the laptop.

@@tatianavillareal6373 Usually not. You may be able to see them in BIOS. If you shut down your computer. The, after hitting the Power button to turn it on, start tapping repeatedly on F2. It will take you to BIOS. There, usually there will be a section on the system information or system specs. The full model number should be in there. Or you can remove the battery and look at its model number / part number.

Anxious to hear the answer from PC Monkey as I have the exact same issue. I know it's the right battery because I actually bought another one for my wife's computer (same as mine) and it works in my computer and hers. The other batteries I've bought (tried, returned, bought another, etc ... x3) have not worked.

If it turns on only when plugged in, the battery most likely needs to be replaced.

Yup,tried by taking off the battery and then putting it back in and turning the laptop on while plugged in , didn't showed any kinda response, checked the ac adapter which is fine ig, still not working

If none of the steps seen here help, then the issue is most likely with the battery. It should then be replaced.

Best to remove a dead battery. Batteries dont stop decaying at 'dead'. Sometimes they continue to malfunction and can eventually damage a computer if not removed.

Deleting the driver forces the computer to update it the next time its turned on :)

Still not working sir after I did the static discharge I press the power button and suddenly all thr lights go off

So it seems like your battery is not holding a charge. Also seems like the power jack is damaged if the cord needs to be at a certain angle. Most likely a driver issue. I dont even try installing Win10 on Win7 machines anymore. Most will be like yours with driver issues and other glitches :(
