How to fix VMware the network bridge on device vmnet0 is not running Step by Step Tutorial.
Method 1:
1- First Go To Notification Area → Right Click WiFi Icon → Open Network and Sharing Center → Change adapter settings.
2- Right-click network adapter icon and click Properties.
3- Select VMware Bridge Protocol and click Uninstall Button.
4- Click Install Button.
5- Now Select Service and click Add.
6- NextSelect VMware Bridge Protocol and click OK.
Method 2:
1- Open VMware Workstation
2- Next Go to the edit menu
3- Now Select virtual network adapter
4- Select "Restore Default"

Didn't work for me. I went and deleted vmware bridge protocol and then went to virtual network editor and clicked restore default. Then when i had to choose an adapter to bridge with VMnet0, I got the following choices: VirtualBox Host-Only Ethernet Adapter; Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller; and Linksys AE1200 #2 (which im pretty sure is the network adaper I use with my host). When I choose the Virtual box one or the linksys one, i dont get the vmnet0 error but It doesnt show an option to connect to the internet on my vm. When I choose the Realtek one, I get the vmnet0 error every time no matter what. And when i go on my vm, the wifi says little to no connection. I am running windows 10 on my host with vmware 12.1.1 and my vm is windows xp professional.

Legend. Worked perfectly after this failed when installing Windows 10 on the Host. Used method 2 as follows (after first shutting down the shared VMs) Method 2: 1- Open VMware Workstation 2- Next Go to the edit menu 3- Now Select virtual network adapter 4- Select "Restore Default"

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Whew. Saved my bacon. I'm using player so I uninstalled/reinstalled the vm's network adapter (setting it to bridge) after installing the service to the host (no virtual network settings I think).

Method 1: "Could not add the requested feature. The error is: The specified service has been marked for deletion." Method 2: The network still does not appear unless you click "Change settings". Running the program as administrator fixes this, but causes it to not see my network drive, which has all of my virtual machines.
