My iMac always worked on my wifi network without issue until today. I thought my router and/or the computer needed resetting. I tried both, yet my mac still wouldnt connect and all my other devices still worked on my wifi network. following your steps resolved the issue right away, thanks so much.

What about iMac 20 inch mid 2009? It connects as the icon appears at the top right of the screen and pages would load up(and load quickly) but often pages would not load and there would be some error about not being a to "connect to a server." Anytime there is a download(I've only tried Firefox) the download would start with a couple of MBs downloaded then just cut off and the prompt "The network connection was lost" could be read under the Downloads button in the browser. Updates can't be downloaded either.

Hi, I have a 2010 13 inch macbook running high sierra, but this problem has already been present when running the original OS for this mac. My problem is that the wifi card cannot detect any networks. Very rarely though, it can detect the networks but cannot maintain a connection very long. If it does detect and connect to networks, signal and connectivity is very good. Other devices in the house can detect and connect to networks without problems. I have tried adding a new location, deleting the wifi and adding it again in system preferences, and even opening up the laptop and remove and reinsert the wifi card but none have solved the problem. Should I just replace the wifi card?

Hi! Thanks for these solutions! When I try it, it works for a while and then my iMac drops the wifi! I installed mac os high sierra a couple of weeks back and since then, the issue has been going on! In fact, sometimes, the computer shuts down on its own!! Not sure what the heck is going on! Any suggestions/recommendations/solution will be great! Thanks.

Hi! got a macbook pro 2017 running latest mojave. My wifi has been in the "Looking for networks" and "on" ( every 2 seconds) for the past 5 months... I got internet....but I notice a slow down and I use a vpn too so the vpne is not working well ... with vpn and without vpne the problem is the same... this "Looking for networks" and "on" problem appeared out of the blue one day ad keep going.... any ideas of why happens? how to fix? thanks a lot!!!

Hey, @TechCoreDuo...I have an early 2015 Macbook Pro currently working on macOS Monterey. Just randomly my wifi bar is showing the exclamation mark. I watched this video of yours, but unfortunately, I cannot even get inside the network of system preferences. It throws "Preferences Error - There was an error in Network preferences" as soon as I click on Network. I already tried safe boot and checked if any new iOS updates, but without any luck. Could you please share with me any insights you might have on this? I would really appreciate it.

Hello, I have watched you video, but my problem is that my A1502 is searching continuously for network and not showing none, and i should receive signal from at least 5 different networks, i have a yellow dot near Wi-fi (in network -system preferences) and I can connect my macbook with my iphone via Bluetooth. Followed your (very clear ) instructions for taking out the sysconfig files. However, still get an "x" on the wifi symbol and the message "WiFi"No hardware installed". This started (2015 early 13" MacBook Pro) after I replaced the blown speakers. One of the new speakers doesn't work at all, and now there's this wifi problem which is much more serious. Any ideas??? What could have caused that ? Already tried all those resets... Thanks!!!

We have a site called Trade Me in NZ I can get it to it through my google and it comes up ok but it is very unstable and keeps dropping out with the heading of web page has to reload??
