How to Fix Wifi Disconnection Problem on Any Mac

Is your Wifi disconnecting on your Mac? If you have wifi disconnection programs and losing wifi connection, I'll show you exactly how to reset and fix the wifi dropping issues.
Step 1: Open system preferences
Step 2: click networks
Step 3: Choose wifi and pick a network name
If you don't see yours, turn off wifi and turn it back on.
Step 4: click advanced
Step 5: Select TCP/IP
Step 6: Renew DHCP Lease
Step 7: ( Make sure you know your wifi password before you do this) Go to wifi tab and delete all networks and click on
Step 8: press ok and then press Apply
Step 9: Launch an application called keychain access
Step 10: Select System
Step 11: Sort by kind
Step 12: Delete Airport Network password (again make sure you know your wifi password.
Step 13: Go back to system preference and networks. Choose your wifi and connect.
Step 14: Go to system preferences and choose energy savers.
Step 15: check off all the marks that put your hard drive to sleep.

You just need to remove the energy save settings you are deleting the people wifi that they have already stored. Remove that step

I cannot express how grateful I am for this video. My Mac has been gathering dust with virtually zero WiFi for the last couple of years. After multiple calls with ’s technical team + a number of other tech calls, not one of them could fix the issue. This has to be something to do with latest Mac o.s. updates. Does not occur on any other device on network (all non macs)

Mine is the same, and I even thought it was my internet smh. I think Apple is purposely messing old ones up so we can buy newer ones, ugh so annoying lol

@@ViperChipz Thank you, I unfortunately do not have a metal near the computer, but the router is in another room that is literally separated by a wall. I never had these issues until last week, so I am not sure what changed.

Yep, that did it. The Catalina upgrade I did two days ago just went and damaged my wifi specifications. This resolved my issues, thanks a million!

This really worked after some frustrating hours yesterday! They updated and renewed the network where I live but my Mac refused to let me login to my new wiredless network. It did not ask for the password so it felt like I was blocked from my own network. Strange I thought as there were no issues when I used my iPhone, iPad, Smart-tv etc. Finally I found this video and after following your instructions I am so happy to say it solved the problem! You deserve a medal for this, mate! Cheers!!!

It really works for me. I am using 16 MBP, and purchased an adopter to connect HDMI. Buying a new one won't be an easy solution, even not guarantee that the new one works fine. Sometimes the issue is due to the setting. I just removed all saved connections and renewed DHCP lease. I made exactly the same all checked as in the video at 1:10.

Tks tried for months to solve this problem. Tried all your suggestions and finally disconnected WIFI and used Ethernet connection only, This seems to have done the trick as immediate improvement.

Your instructions are super clear, you speak slowly not in a rush. Your mouse moves to where it should without going round the screen for a Victory lap each time a word is used…AHIIII you did so many things right you could have a YOU TUBE on how to give Instructions!

What can I do if my WiFi never shows up in the drop down list? It was working and then stopped. Restarted router and MacBook but still not showing in drop down.

This is so legit... My mac was continuously getting disconnected after every 3 mins or smtg and I had to go on connecting it .. my videos used to suddenly start buffering ... but I did this .. followed all the steps n it worked. Just restart ur laptop after u do this :)
