This worked for me but only after waiting about ten minutes. I did everything you said and the black screen still showed, but out of curiosity I just let it run for a bit before trying again and after about ten minutes the screen popped back to low resolution. This worked for me and I was surprised. Originally I was getting a blue screen and thought my hdmi port was bad. I took the Xbox apart and it seemed fine. It sat in my room for over a year thinking it was dead. Randomly came across this video and did the low resolution trick and it actually worked. This completely fixed the problem. That's crazy. My tv looked like static. I knew it shouldn't be doing that because when I initially started my Xbox, I saw the green loading startup screen completely normal without any static, then got to the Home Screen and it blacked out for a sec and came back as static so bad. I tried switching cables, switching the ends and nothing worked. I did the method where you hold down the eject button and power button and it did start in lowest quality mode. Then I was able to change the resolution and it looked perfect, like it's supposed to. Thank you because I searched on KZfaq and online and couldn't find any useful information. You're the best! ❤

There is a company based in Midland Michigan mall called Roadrunner games. They fixed my no signal issue. It's a common thing with the one x systems. The problem is the HDMI chip built inside the system. After 3 weeks and well worth the wait, my Xbox is perfect. No issues as of late. Trying other methods viewed on KZfaq may work for some, but not for others like me.

Black screen brought me here. Followed everything you said. Another cord, another tv etc. Did the 2 button reset, Xbox load screen came on, but turned black again. Waited and after about 5 minutes it booted up in low Rez. All fixed. THANKS!

Thanks for the advice man I disconnected my brand new HDMI and plugged it in from the other side and now it doesn't flicker all red grainy and blacks out for a second.

If your screen shows no signal, change the HDMI cable with an extra one you have. Mine wasn’t working and I just did this and it worked. The hdmi cable was broken.

See my Xbox a lil different i have to use a remote and position it under my hdmi because the port in my Xbox is lose and my hdmi slips right out so the remote helps balance it but it’s still frustrating to try and get it right I just think I should take it to the shop and see if they can fix it because nun of the KZfaq tutorials work

Guys i just switched the same HDMI cord so the side plugged into the TV I put into the Xbox and the side plugged into the Xbox I put that in the TV

Thanks so much for this video as it fixed my Xbox One problem quickly. I do have one other problem which is one of the games I bought online will not work called Witcher 2. I have repeatedly contacted support at Microsoft and Witcher 2 and neither one can solve the problem and blame each other. I have tried things such as resetting the Xbox, deleting and downloading the game again, deleted my user account and restored it, etc. I am able to start the game and watch the opening sequence but when it says Press START to play it goes to a screen asking me to "Download Profile" I should mention that this game was originally developed for the first Xbox but that Microsoft claims it has upgraded this game and hundreds of others to work on the Xbox One console. On the screen it asks me to Select a profile but does not list any profiles to select. If I press select anyway it asks me again to Download Profile. At this point the Xbox One goes to check the network status which then complains it "Can't connect to Xbox Live & asks to Test Connection" If I select Test Connection it comes back that the network connection is ok and around & around I go. Any ideas?
