I just had this occur on my '04 TSX immediately after replacing the battery. I updated my DVD back in '08 but unfortunately can't find the original :( I'm doubtful yours is compatible or I'd ask for a copy. But even as of today no one at Honda, Acura, usergroups or service techs have a clue how to correct this. So this makes your fix the only known way to deal with it. Happy it worked for you...

I updated my original TL-S navi disc many years ago. And I would swear that there are several different types of discs (I think they were different colors, too). I know my original disc was black, so I had to get an update that was black. I say this because after reading the comments below, I think some of you folks need to get your hands on non-black navi discs.

My 2002 RL had this problem. Acura client relations told me to take it to my dealer and 3 months later it's fixed...with the original version DVD! Betcha acura/alpine watched your video. If so, they owe you a royalty!!!!!!

I just got the most recent disc, which did not fix the clock issue, as the tech at Acura said it would. The only disc I have is the update from 2008 which won't respond to the reset as described using the 3 buttons pressed at once. I would appreciate a copy of your original disc if it is still available.

And one more thing, I`v tried all that shown in this video and other similar videos on youtube before they were even uploaded , ( I used electronic repair manual to get all this information for resets in stuff )it wont help guaranteed . I work for dealer and had discussed that with knowledgeable person and he advised me send it to Alpine and they will take care of it for for near or above $200 (he said it happens every time those Acuras reaching 16 years age and some sort of timer goes beyond the limit stops reflecting gps time) . no way I said i`ll pay $200 for that . I`ll tell you guys don`t even bother do anything because it might get worth from not knowing what you doing to that unit , just be patient wait for whole year or more like i did and try go back to clock settings it should fix itself if hadn`t already .Hope this helps

Hi I just bought an Acura TL type S 2003. The Nav system looks identical to yours. The seller told me it just needs the disc. Could u tell me the best way to purchase this? Or is there a way to get the clock to work until I get the software? (I noticed that the mapping actually works sometime with no disc in the system).

Is there a way to get a copy of your disc? By the way in my 2002 MDX when I hold the menu, map and cancel buttons it doesn't take me to the other screen/menu as shown on yours. Is the button sequence different on the 2002 MDX?

Hello every one . I had the same issue with my 02 Acura MDX one year ago from now , found tread it states wait for a whole month and time will come back on , yes it did but you can`t adjust it , just last week I started my car and noticed that mpg and ect on the trip screen has had zero out itself , a couple of days later I was thinking maybe i should try and see if clock settings work what not , and guess what ?! the clock settings are working now as it should , so my point is from that practice : wait the the whole year+ every since you start notice this happened to you with the navy clock and try go back to settings see if it works . I almost sent my unit to Alpine for expensive repair to take care of that annoying clock issue ., but apparently all it needed just some wait time . Hope this info will l help . Best regards !

Thanks...it worked on my 2000TL. Ironically I tried putting the 2012 update DVD back in and the clock reverted to zero again, so just keeping my original DVD in the system which tells me that it's something in the code of the DVD...just a guess....

I tried using the disk that says 1999 on it and the screen says incorrect disk inserted and to contact a dealer. The second disk has 2013 on it. I just bought a 2002 mdx
