The HDMI switch worked for me but when NO SIGNAL showed on the screen I realized I also had to go to INPUT and switch to the corresponding HDMI selection there. Voila...fixed! Thank you!

It could also be that your power chord is not the right electric output. You may be matching an 9v with a 12v tv.

The 2nd one worked. But you can't just replace the batteries. You have to remove the batteries. Hold the power button 30 seconds...that worked

My 50 inch Insignia Fire went black while I was watching it. One year after I plugged it in. Of course Best Buy does not want to fix it. But they will dispose of it. Can't find a LED backlight source for it. But since it has a Foopid boot up sequence with no sound And no easy way to access the back of the screen. Not going to use the flash light trick. Yes you can shine flash light behind the screen but getting there is trouble. So if Insignia has not address this design flaw. I think the flaw is to over drive the leds and they fail. But the picture looks great until then. I do not recommend buying one of the E50KT2N series. The older TCF 44 inch it replaced still works. I can repair those and 100 watt CW radar transceivers. If I can get the parts.

None of this worked, guess I just have a bad Insignia TV. Its done this off an on over the years, now suddenly out of the blue all the HDMI ports stopped detecting. Factory reset, power reset, new cables, new devices nothing working
