I show you how to factory reset an Insignia Fire TV (smart tv fire edition) without the remote. We will be using the button on the TV itself. Hope this helps.

THANK YOU! My Fire TV screen was dead and even with no screen, I followed your instructions and hard reset it. In the video your TV kept making the sound to select language for setup. I knew mine was fully reset when I saw the power light kept pulsating and after a few minutes, I heard that prompting sound from the TV because it wanted to be setup. Now I know I can get rid of the TV and all my personal information's been erased.

thank you for the video it was a god send.we called best buy and transfer to geek squad and put on hold twice for almost an hour and no one returned to assist us.i finally gave up and went to youtube and search "insignia remote not working" and found your video.i guest my two year warranty that i purchase is of no used to date.

Nice. I just bought mine 2 yrs after ya made this and couldn't stand all th BS upon turning it on bc I just needed to dedicate it to inputs, so I wanted to put it back to Store Mode. I thot that would be simple enough, but I couldn't have done it w/out this vid... or $5 to chat w/a technician. So I spent th five bucks on a beer. Thank you.

Thanks! It worked. Just hope this isn't a recurring thing. Mine didn't pull up all the other options on the screen , it just started working after unplugging and pushing the power button.

I had to use an extension cord- Didn’t work first try, but it did the second. To pair my remote, hold the home key & the weird arrow key beside the home key down together for a count of 10- done. 🙏 🤩 Thx

1-10-24🎉😂 💃🏽Thank you, Thank! I was going to toss my TV. I had tried everything to include leaving it unplugged for weeks. Searched for a new video today for the heck of it & found his for the 1st time!! He says unplug TV. Continue to hold the power button as you REPLUG the TV. As soon as you see the fire TV screen logo let the power button GO! If you don't see the reset screen continue to try! It worked the second time because I let the power button go early enough. (This is different from all the OTHER instructions that say continue to hold the power button until the TV turns back on.) After the factory reset. The TV asked if I wanted to use my phone or remote to finish. It took two tries because my Internet is slow. Thankfully, my Amazon settings allowed me to restore everything on the TV💃🏽!💯

Very well done! I'm going to send this link to the Insignia person who tried to assist me. In my case, the remote still won't pair after all of that, but power/volume/back buttons work. "Searching for your remote" is as far as I get. Replaced the remote, new batteries :( You mentioned you might have another solution for that?
