I've watched several of these tailgate repair videos and none of the trucks are like mine. Mine does not have an access panel so everything is harder to get to. Anyway a good video thanks for posting.

First of all thanks for getting right to it so I didn't have to skip through 12 minutes of monolog. My tailgate has gotten so hard to open I have to use two hands and struggle with it. Gonna go take it apart now. Thank you!

Thanks for this video. One correction: Test BEFORE putting the access panel back in place. Saves you work if something needs to be adjusted.

Good video only thing I'd change is to use a Teflon based "dry lube" instead of a liquid silicone. This way you won't attract dirt to the surface you're trying to lubricate

thanks for the video, I liked it. I have a problem with a folding rear tailgate for mitsubishi outlander xl is the name of this car in Russia. please Tell me how to fix these doors? the problem is that the door is swung very hard.Need to pull it with both hands.I know that these doors are found on many American and British cars ( Ford Explorer, Ranger over Discovery), but I don't know how to fix them. Please help me.

Vlad, from the little I was able to find, it seems to be an issue with clearance somewhere at the tailgate. I read that on a forum, they got that from the dealer they took the vehicle to. They did not elaborate any more on it.
