How To Flash a Ninebot-Segway Max Serial Number Change

In this tutorial, I'll walk you through how to change a Ninebot Segway Max serialnumber with the Ninebot Flasher application on Windows 10. This allows you to change the region restrictions or give it the legendary "1111" SN that unlimits the top speed!

Thanks a lot! I had flashed my scooter using the Xiaoflasher app, but the scooter wasn't behaving will and thought of going back but couldn't find a way to go back unless I watched this video. I had the old SN so I typed in the old SN and wala! Thanks once again.

I just increased the speed of my G65E using this Ninebot Flasher. The speed now seems to be a bit faster than before, reaching up to 36 km/h when running downhill but still at 25 km/h max on flat roads. This could be due to the regen setting being adjusted to 'strong' when after speed changed however, there was no change even when I set it to 'weak' in the Segway App. Another thing I noticed is that the model has changed from the original G65E to the Max G30. I will continue to test it further and see what else may have been altered.

For those of you that got stuck on the ctrl + a part, this is what I did: FIRST I pasted my serial number code into the cmd box, THEN I pressed ctrl + a.

this worked nice and easy. Though i had some issue where it said someone else was already using that serial number (in the official ninebot app) So i changed the last 4 digits from XXXX to a couple of random numbers and a letter. That worked! Thank you!

No thats not the case you can use this method or using Scooter Companion. Since Scooter companion is in beta you need to side load if your using an Iphone/IOS

hey everyone, I have followed every step correctly but when I click Write ESC to change to the new Serial Number, it spits back that command repeating my old serial number, (which ends in C1234) and doesn't seem to fix my issue of not being able to connect my scooter to the app. Any suggestions please?

That also depends on the weight of the rider, and whether you're using any CFW or not, among other factors. You should be able to pass 18mph/30KPH though, but can't guarantee it!

It doesn't work for me. When trying to write the "new" Serial Number, scooter is beeping 3 times. I guess that's some sort of a write protection indication.

It doesnt work for me. When I put in the changed new number and press Write ESC Sn, the old number pops up as the serial number, always and always....

Firstly, I'm assuming you mean that after you Write ESC Sn, it shows the old one, then you click the "Serial Number" button to get the new one, but it still shows that it hasn't changed? That's awful! If that's the case, it sounds like your ESC might be clogged - sometimes the Ninebot software can get that way, where it won't accept changes, even officially made ones. Since you can't actually do a 'hard shutdown' like on a computer or phone, you'll need to take the bottom battery cover off, and find the connector (should be on the right side) and unplug it for 30 seconds, then plug it back in. That should allow the scooter to clear out any clogged software bugs and let you write a new SN!

@@redz1739 just realized in red S mode it now goes 15.5 mph. this an E22, old top speed was 12.4 i wasn’t able to chance the letters a numbers in the front. i was able to make the “1111” code double beep, but it wasn’t limitless speed. the new software in your scooter is preventing a area change.
