HOW TO: Flash SST Firmware Evo X + Ralliart

In todays video I do my best to explain the procedure for flashing an SST gearbox. There are many reasons why you would need to do this, wether unlocking super sport or wanting to do a gearbox reteach. Being able to flash the firmware is an essential skill for an evo owner.

Just to ad to this video the gearbox has improved 100% and now works flawlessly again with the smooth and fast gearshifts it had before flashing the reteach software

My advice is to spend around 15-17 for an enthusiast owned one, dont get a stevo project one its a never ending money pit lol. However it is good fun and satisfying to rescue a bad example

@@rowanlewisuk I've been to see a few. There's an SST near me thats £17k so going to have a look at it. I don't mind fixing up cars but don't want a massive amount of work!

So after flashing SSport onto the 2013 ralliart there’s a weird, noticeable hesitation around 4+K RPM especially at WOT in 4th gear. Changed the fuel pump relay still does it and have searched the web extensively. Otherwise car runs fine. It’s a head scratcher. Ik I need evo scan to really hone in on where the issue is from but maybe someone has experienced this as well. AMS boost pill on 91 octane basemap seemed fine prior to the SST flash, after flash there’s that aforementioned hesitation

Bro I have same issue in evo x mr 2008 1. Check engine light 2.sst go to D1 then stuck I have to shift it manual then jump to (3) then (5) then stuck and also some time lose the engaged so I have to shut down car , Can u help me bro 😘

If ur locked out of gears that sounds like u had one of the magnets come loose. Basically, shits fucked and ur gonna have to send it off to get rebuilt. Would recommend kozmic

So if you put a Evo X 2011 software on Ralliart 2009 it'll be problematic?

I was getting error codes and the box was making weird noises when I had the new firmware on an 08 evo

@@borisbenchev7193 you cant reteach on 08 firmware, thats why we flash to 2011 firmware. Once reteach complete flash back to 08

Just wondering if you'd heard the news regarding Mitsubishi? Apparently they're pulling out of the European & UK markets completely. It's a real shame but I feel the Mitsubishi are a shadow of their former best.

I heard yesterday. It is a real shame, i dont think the partnership with nissan and renault has done them much good. There is only one car id ever consider buying new thats an evo 11 if one ever come out. Its a shame this is even more unlikely now. Its also weird as they sell more cars in the uk than they do in other countries

@@rowanlewisuk It's a real shame but the lineup they sell is really old, the GS platform that underpins the Evo X is basically what the ASX & Outlander still use, that dates back to 2007. Even the Eclipse Cross is based on the GS platform. When you consider that the Outlander PHEV has been a big success & a new model is on the way I can't say I fully understand the rather abrupt decision that's been taken here.
