In my area that happens so often. Problem is it's usually still too high a price. Guy will say "cars for 5600 I can only go down to 5000" for a car that looks like it was rolled down a hill.

As someone with an electrical background, I feel the need to tell you that you should never expect that replacing a blown fuse would fix the AC issue. Fuses are there for safety. They’re designed to fail so that bigger, more catastrophic system failures don’t occur. If a fuse is blown in a circuit and you just replace the fuse, you’re probably going to lose that fuse too. Keep this in mind when troubleshooting electrical systems in the future: a blown fuse is a symptom, not a diagnosis.

For someone that's a mechanic or someone who just works on cars and already has all the tools, it's just their own labor and time. The parts for Toyotas and Hondas are pretty cheap... And there's always the junk yard option of getting replacement parts if you don't mind pulling them yourself.

Most tools you buy once, and if you like working on cars, its a good match. To me this beats Corporate America, with some jackass manager micromanaging you all day long because someone above him is putting on the pressure.

Do what I do. Keep an eye open for tools at garage sales, etc. I see things and think, "Will I ever need this? Can I beat this price?" I recently bought a shovel model that I prefer. It was $5 at an estate sale. I had no need for it in Summer, but knew I would need another shovel in Winter or a year or so. I also buy quality used, rusty tools and soak them in Evaporust.😊

These videos are great! Recently picked up my first flip, an 04 Honda Accord with 223k miles on it. Wasn’t running, but owner was gonna scrap it. Managed to get it for $300! Clean Texas title fully loaded car. Replaced the starter and drove it home same day! Ended up replacing brake pads and some other things. Roughly $650 total invested, currently have it listed at 3k. I have 2 people coming tomorrow to look at it. These flips are 100% possible!

The ugly truth is that the main skill to flip anything is to be a good liar. The first thing a flipper is hiding is the very fact that he is a flipper, they pretend to be a regular owner (bought for personal use, not for reselling/flipping) of the thing they sell. All the fixes and repairs they do are just to fix the things that a buyer can see, nothing deeper than that. If they see someone selling something broken very cheap yet with a very simple fix (like a fuse) they will take advantage of that person and buy it at that super cheap price while the moral thing would be to reveal to the seller just how simple the fix is and thus not take advantage him. It goes on and on, but the point is that a flipper is just a vanilla scammer, there's a reason most states allow you to flip only 4 cars per year, but even there the flipper tries to skip title of the vehicle, as a scammer does

The best way to flip substandard cars is with a gigantic spatula. For low heat turn it down. When you give it a shot of freon aim carefully. A private party has to be careful about lewd charges before showing their privates. To get a lot of leverage when negotiating use a really long pry bar. To cover a fading seal use a large walrus. On spraying the carpet black once you go black it is hard to go back. That car has been around the block too many times to give it so much love.

Don't get mad about it just use it as a red flag to avoid being scammed like this guy was. There is no fricking way that 20 year old Toyota had only 188K and he knows it. Either he or seller changed out that odometer period end of story, there are plenty of clues. The big ones are the seat ware and Toyota's with only 188K don't leak oil, I don't care how old they are. This guy is a scammer!!!!!

I love flipping anything and everything I can. Flipped a Pontiac vibe for 800$ profit. I know it’s not much but I used it for good 8 months. A few lawn mowers I picked for free, clean the carbs and sold for 80$ a pop ( I had about 6 of them), a civic I bought for 300$ and sold for 1800$ without doing anything to it be because it was 1993 I think hatchback manual which kids love to turn into race cars. Man I can go on. Just picked up a G35 2006 for 1000$ granted it needs engine but valve is around 6K, got a sequoia few weeks ago for 1500 with only 135K miles. Toyota guys should know what they are worth. It’s a 2001 4WD. FREEDOM IS PRICELESS
