Not only have you perfected something into such a whimsical heart warming shape, but you make it with endless variety of poses that each one seems more desirable than the last. You are an artist for having captured such a real truths to imitate life, such as the ear pose or noticing any other detail to make it more lifelike. Fantastic product! So nice to see the first ones that you made, it highlights WHY you do it they way you showed and HOW you figured out what worked. I've held onto some of those sorts of things in a dusty corner, and it's fun to look through them and see where I've been and where I've gotten to.

I tried this technique...worked out pretty well, and the donkey did indeed look silly. I did have a problem though with the "neck". I drew it out and rounded the bar off to set it up for a future hook. However, with all the hammering and the using guillotine tool, it put a lot of movement back and forth on the neck and it ended up snapping off. I only hit it at yellow/orange. Any suggestions on how to avoid this from happening in the future?

Hi John ,I Enjoy making animal heads so far I have made a rams head a long horn , and now I'm working on a dragon But i think i will set it aside to try make a donkey . I do this as a hobby and my Grand kids will really love a happy Donkey . 👍🤠.
