In this video I remake the wolf jaw tongs that I made in the made in a resent video but this time I show you how to make them as well. In the first part of this video i show you how to forge a pair of tongs from 20mm round bar or 3/4" round bar. I cove each step in making the tongs so that you can produce a set of tong blanks which is the starting point for most tongs.

The diagonal braces on your workshop door is done carpenter style . If done in wood ,the braces takes the cantilever force of the door hanging off the hinges in compression.

Great video! I need to learn how to make these tongs! I am disabled (since I started to smith, 15 years ago) and am just now recovering some of my strength and REALLY want to get back into smacking iron!

Thanks for making these videos. MAYBE you could fade the music whenever you are talking. The music makes it hard to understand what you are saying sometime. Plus it would make the music less repeating, which gets kind of obnoxious after 15 minutes..

Well that was a good bit of info though i preffer gas welding cause my forge is in the wilds and runs on a usb fan and i gas weld but i love it when people use hand tools and explain hammer strokes that's actually helpful your doing a good thing keep it up
