It would be nice if in the future you could move the head completely into the frame. Somewhat it felt a bit hard to look at in the beginning, because your hands where so far up. I think it would be nice if it would be more centered. Besides that, very nice video. Clear explanation and not to quick. You have a lovely voice. Thanks for the video

O.m.g. you have no idea! I have never been able to do a French braid, even after 37 years of failed attempts on my own hair. I've had a daughter for 3 years and have lived with the mom guilt of not being able to do one for her. I've watched dozens of videos on KZfaq to no avail. Taking the strand from one side into the middle then pulling a “horizontal” section from the corresponding side into the middle with that strand then repeating on the other side...that just makes so much more sense then taking a chunk of hair with you when putting one strand into the middle. I don’t know why I always had it explained to me so wacky. Thank you!

This has really helped me. I have curly hair, so not much need to french braid,so I never learned. I now have a daughter with straight hair and am learning how to style straight hair, along with french braids. Well come to find out I was putting the "new" hair into the outer section instead of the middle. I'm so happy and proud that I can finally french braid!

I just bought a Manikin to practice on and I am super excited to try this out!! I work with medically complex kids and always Rely on my coworkers to do hair. THANK YOU! I know this video is old, but I can do a regular braid, French twists, even a fishtail, but have NEVER been able to French braid! And with this video I was able to finally do it and even on the 1st try. It wasn't perfect, but I can now out my child's LONG curly hair into a French braid so it doesn't get all tangled when he sleeps.

I ACTUALLY DID IT YES!!, I JUST NEED TO MAKE IT A LITTLE TIGHTER :))) and is it normal that your arms get sore while doing your hair like this?

Totally love this❤. I had always pic the next section before i cross the strand, by then I cross it into the middle, the hair lossen. I find this method has more control to tighten the braid.

About to try this on my 5 year old. I watched another video but the person had 16 steps that seemed so complicated. Yours was easy and made more sense.
