thanks for the tips and the calm voiceover. Don't like youtuber yelling! This video went into detail without taking forever to get started. Much appreciated

I'm learning this now. I find grinding it a lot less scary than stalling. My fear is the wheels sliding out and me falling backwards, but with grinding, the travel is more sideways so the risk seems to decrease. Thanks for the vid 👊

I see what you’re saying. The decision to stop on the coping (stall) gives you a lot of time to think and psych you out. That’s why I squat low and exhale deeply when I commit to the roll in. And of course! Hope it was helpful

Just learned frontside slash grinds last night and this is next on my list. Frontside always seems so scary and I know that getting this trick is going to be a battle. Great video instructions!

I agree. Facing the coping seems more dangerous. And the blindside re-entry is another fear factor. Thanks man!

@@DJG623 Just learned this trick this week! Thanks again for posting the video. Definitely helps seeing a breakdown when trying to learn.

it's been a couple weeks, I've got it down except the re-entry. Can't seem to get past the mental block. Will try your tips today regarding the breathwork. thanks

Definitely practice on shallower ramps if possible. But yes the deep exhale upon re-entry should help with commitment.

I broke my foot while doing this 5 years ago. But a few months after that i went back to learn it again. It's a trick i need a few try's for before landing it. But its awesome when you got it

Jeez, that’s a tough injury.. was it a 5 or 6 foot quarter?

@@DJG623 it was a 4 foot quarter i stepped off and landed with butt on top off my heel. That broke my foot it was just bad luck.

Hey! Once you risk it for the biscuit and commit to it once, you’ll see it’s not that bad. It’s best to try on shallower transition too.

Once you feel comfortable u can do reverse cross lock(back track heel, front track toe) it looks cool and kinda prepare you for fs smith

So you don't have to do the cross lock thing like you normally would for a backside axel stall (so you don't hang up when dropping in)?
@DJG623
@DJG623 Жыл бұрын
Correct, for the FS axle stall you have both trucks locked in fully.

oh I would. it slows down the brain too, to stop rushing a move, and to break it down into constituent parts.
