My brother and I used to fish for smelt in the Columbia river in Longview WA . But we used nets.

Don't think I could eat those crunchy bones without gagging honestly. I filet all my fish boneless. Something about it just skeeves me out

Nooo they aren’t crunchy at all, they are so thin they disintegrate in the hot oil. You wouldn’t even know it
