Here's how to fulfill & ship your first Amazon Fulfillment By Merchant (FBM) order in 2024. I cover how to fulfill your first order with both the desktop and mobile applications, as well as, how to properly package your product(s). Merchant fulfilled is the other way to sell on Amazon in comparison to Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA).
Amazon FBM is a simpler method to sell your product(s) and allows you to take in more of the profits (no Amazon FBA fees). You will be responsible for handling the shipping and customer service for your Amazon store, but if you're shipping low quantities of products each month then it may make the most sense for your business.

If your shipping is extremely high in comparison to your sales price, make sure to check your product weight and dimensions in your "edit listing" page in the "more details" tab.

I was wondering the same thing, but also that you charged 2.99 shipping and it was added to your gross profit, I'm having a really really hard time figuring out how the shipping works ... I'll scour your playlists ... my brain hurts ... I know it's just a learning curve ... How much could it be to ship 10oz item 7" X 6" in a bubble envelope about the size .... I'm wondering ... You may have been able to get the shipping costs down had you used a padded envelope instead of a box for such a small case. The reason your shipping cost didnt change when rounding up the weight is because you were already using dimensional weight. For the shipping cost to change when adjusting the weight; you probably would have had to change the weight to more like 5 pounds as opposed to 5 ounces. The flaw here is that you charged 99 cents for shipping, when they paid $2.99, and then got charged over $7.00. I know this is just a tutorial but just wanted to point that out.

Thanks for this man. To the point. I messed up my first 2 FBM orders when it came to buy shipping I clicked confirm order so never got to buy shipping through Amazon. I've been 100% FBA only, but I know I gotta learn some FBM to help even out the cashflow. Thanks man

Hello, When being a merchant, if you ship using UPS, do you add static shipping costs with ASC or does the price reflect the current UPS rates you select? Just need to know if I need to estimate or if it does it for you!

Hi, Thank you for your tutorial! I am a new seller and have just found my first product to sell on Amazon. Now I am trying to find out what the actual cost to ship my using FBM buy shipping is before I have my supplier ship my items over. I looked everywhere on the seller central website, and couldn't find a way to calculate shipping cost. My item weighs 10 oz dimension is 10x7x2''. Does FBM buy shipping include USPS First Class mail? According to the USPS website, the commercial plus price for this item is less than $5 even to the farthest zone, but I am confused why your FBM buy shipping is only showing you UPS shipping. Looks like the shipping cost is even higher than your product!

Hi. Does someone know if I can see a list of orders that are in transit and delivered instead of clicking on each order and going into tracking info. I love how eBay does this and shows DELIVERED and IN TRANSIT. I wished in Amazon where its a green button that says SHIPPED actually changed to TRANSIT when item is scanned at carrier and then DELIVERED when its delivered. Or am I missing something

I notice Amazon shipping calculator give us different cost for shipping . When I check the product package weight is different than what is listed. When I try to do at home the cost is higher. I noticed that Amazon has taken out the padded flat rate envelope on their priority shipping choices for FBM. Is their any way around this, because shipping priority on 1 lb & over is about 2-3 dollars more which kills profit. ( I am shipping 2 bottles of supplements). thanks

hi Ive been having problems with the buy shipping part in Canada when I put the dimensions and weight I get based on your inputs or preferences, there are no shipping services currently eligible for your order. Check that your weight, dimensions, ship date, and carrier preferences are accurate. and I says Canada post is not available even though I put it on my buy shipping preferences

If an order comes in Saturday after five and it’s standard shipping and it needs to be shipped by Monday. Can I wait till Sunday or Monday to print out the shipping label or do I have to print it out the same day the order comes in and then just ship item out by Monday

These methods are really helpful in understanding how Amazon FBA works, however I came into problems with how to manage PPC or gain reviews, as well as how to target the precise keywords that would push my products to the top of the search results. Later, a friend recommended panda-boom, which really benefited me in making 15-20 sales every day on average.

There must be an automated solution like Oberlo does for Shopify. How can you FBM manually buy and sell if you are only making $3 per sale and you need to order for a supplier it can be a huge waste of time. Is there no intermediate software that will link Amazon to AliExpress?

Hii...we are going to sell from india to USA through the merchant fulfilled method...the avg shipping cost from india to the USA is 22-25 dollars....is it possible for us to set the same amount as the shipping charges in the shipping settings? Thanks! It'll vary depending on where the customer is located, unless you're using a fixed rate shipping method like USPS flat rate boxes. If you want to use UPS, go to their website and create a shipment for your product to go to the other end of the United States (or your country). See what that costs and use that for your shipping charge.

Thanks. Great vid. But I notice that even for FBM, amazon charges "other fees". A book is charged for referral fees and other fees. That's just ridiculous, some estimated net show negative balance per item. I'm new to this. Any help please.

Hello, Thank you for the video. Quick question. Lets say i have 1000 orders. And I can only see 100 orders per page. And I have 8 skus. What I am doing is, I choose 1 sku and try to find the same sku in the first page by clicking each little square next to the order till the end of first page, then choose bulk shipping and print the shipping labels, which is a time wasting. Is there a way or a software that chooses 1 sku on 10 pages(1000 orders) and show it to me? Then I can print all labels which has the same sku and that will be a total life saver and time saving. Thanks for your time

I don't see any options under Shipping Settings. It just shows me two tables one titled as Default Shipping Address and the other titled as Default Shipping, and I don't see any options there to change my shipping rates. Can you please assist?

My product are in Inbound and reserved 40 50 units and show out of stock seating down there for long how long will be seating if I need the money to buy more. I keep buying and buying still going to reserve or inbound, When will really get sold?
