Sadly is unpaid and if you do not have rich parents or if you are not lucky to get paid by your uni/government, you cant live in NY

Well, it is an investment. The jobs you can apply for and get with an UN Inter ship on your cv are better paid.

Yes you’re right but it’s 40 hours a week for 6 months not accessible for many. Weeds out anyone who may be just as qualified but doesn’t have the finances. Seems pretty elitist to me. Yes you can save up then money but still there’s no guarantee that’s you will even get a job after.

Hello AnnaMae, thank you for sharing your experience! In the job description they request to add 3 references, may I ask if you need to include their contact information only or attach 3 references letters from them?

i can only apply to one which is in my home city because I already have accommodation there lol. how are people so rich wtf

I lived at home in Ireland for 8 months after college working full-time and saving money so that I could take this opportunity! I also had support from family as I had completed my undergraduate degree in 3 years. Still I believe that it is totally unfair that the UN do not pay their interns!

@@AnnaMaeK yeah I could do that but knowing I want to do a PhD I don’t really feel like spending time working in between my studies lol or else I’ll start working in 10 years lol

Hey! not sure if you're gonna read this this late after the posting of the video haha but i was wondering, I know you have to attach a letter of reference to apply for internships. Do you just use the same ones multiple time then? Do you ask for a generic one?
