When I caught these I used feather balls to break their shields from a distance. It was easier than getting close with globs.

You can simply stun the forces of nature pokemon from afar using either feather/wing/jet balls. Saves bringing loads stunables. Enamorus is the only one I couldn’t catch without battling it and taking its health down first.

The force of nature that Enamorus represents is love. -Her snake has heart patterns on it, and becomes a heart when she uses Springtide Storm -Her name's etymology: enamour (to fill with love) and amor (Spanish for love). -On your first encounter with her with Cogita, she says "Amooooooooooooooor" which means love (see above point) -She also is the herald of springtime, as spring can somehow also suggest love (since most animals reproduce during spring)

Hot take, I don't really mind Enamorus' design. I always thought the therian forms were cooler anyway, and Enamorus' Therian from is fine

I was having trouble with the Enamorus battle, and the feather ball + smoke bomb technique did wonders- after a few turns, I managed to finally catch her after fainting three times using my original technique of just riding around on Wyrdeer until she left an opening where I could stun her. Thank goodness I saw this!

enamorous represents love as a force of nature, more a symbolic force of nature than the literal storms the others represent "love is in the air"

I would also recommend waiting (sleep spamming at camp) for foggy weather to catch Enamorous since it makes the Pokémon less aware to sneak up on it easier. You can check for foggy weather in the top left icon of the map.

I don't know if you know, but to disable the forces of nature shield, you don't need to use stunning items, PokeBall do the same effect, so you can break their guard from very far away with featherBall

The ther Ian forms are based on directional myths I think so it was kinda inevitable we would get another, I think enamorous is supposed to be south, tornadus north, landorus west and thunderous east. Each direction was also given an animal

The revealed forms is exciting to me due to the reference of the 4 directions and their animal representation with the turtle, pheonix, tiger, and dragon :)

I noticed, when I did it without battling them, it's better to craft a bunch of feather balls and throw them at him to break his barrier. They fly faster and farther. Then you can combo the feather balls with a Jet ball or a Ultra Ball to catch them. I never used smoke bombs and only ever used 6 stealth sprays in total.

I love Enamorus so much. It's a bit of a confusing thing for me, too because as a mono-type Dragon user since 2016, I hate fairies. But as a Reptile owner, I love the design with the snake and the fact that Therian looks like a Soft-Shelled Turtle.

Fairy types in pokemon lore are mainly either from fairy tales or very connected to nature or both. So I think the reason this new one is fairy is because it's just the embodiment of nature.

The Vermilion Bird of the south （朱雀）, Azure Dragon of the east （青龍） and White Tiger of the west （白虎）is entirely correct, the Black Tortoise is slightly inaccurate. The origin of the four cardinal beasts myth comes from China, and according to their ancient Taoist texts, that remaining beast of the north is the 玄武, which cannot be translated into English as it’s full description is 騰蛇盤玄龜, which means the “Flying Serpent coiled up on the shell of the Black Tortoise”. So it’s more then just the Black Tortoise, and Enamorus is depicted as exactly that, a serpent on the shell of a tortoise. This is honestly lovely. Although, the Chinese Taoist texts also include the fifth cardinal beast of centre，勾陳, which unlike the other four beasts, doesn’t signify its colour on its name, nor does the name suggest what beast it actually is. The texts are very non specific here. One book says it is a winged horse, so kinda like a Pegasus; another book says it’s the yellow dragon, which is just a cheap knock off of the Azure Dragon; and one book says it’s actually the alternative name for 麒麟, which is like a deer with dragon scales and tail.

I literally just brute forced my way fighting them and the Thundorus was driving me mad for never stopping to summon the whirlwinds at all, definitely the more tedious way compared to yours. Also thanks for letting me know I was a dumb dumb and not knowing smoke bombs works on water as well (though I don’t use it often overall tbh)

When I caught them, one Fast Ball knocks his shield down automatically. So you could have saved all your Sticky Globs. But you also get a bunch of them from your farm so I guess that wasn't a problem

Great easy to follow directions. The "Weather Trio" actually represent the Chinese direction gods. Enamorus is North Turtle with a snake curled up on its back, the pink tail looks like a snake. Thundurus is East the dragon. Tornadus is South representing the Phoenix. Last is Landorus which is west and represents the Tiger. So they now have the proper complete set of the Direction Gods

I did all three of the original Forces earlier today, and a trick I found is to actually just stop when they start summoning tornadoes. They stop moving too, so if you just pay attention to their location you can throw right through the tornadoes and get a hit in. You also don't need to use items; I threw one of my Pokemon (Giratina in this case) in its Pokeball and it counted as a successful hit, so after a few I would get a chance to battle or throw a ball. The tornado attacks are based on where you're moving to, as the AI attempts to predict your path of movement. So stopping dead in your tracks essentially guarantees your safety at the cost of halting your movement. Landorus seems to have the lowest catch rate, though honestly after accidentally killing him and resetting several times, I had better luck throwing balls at his back while he was stunned than actually trying to whittle his HP down.

Could have really used this last weekend when I was catching all of them. I didn’t think to use the Smoke Balls or the Sticky Globes at all for some reason. 😅 For Thundurus and and Landorus, I took out the surrounding Alpha Pokémon first and then just chased them around, avoiding their tornadoes and throwing my Pokémon’s ball at them until a battle finally started. For Tornadus, I had such a hard time getting close to him since I kept getting hit by the tornadoes since the surrounding Pokémon kept getting in my way, no matter how many I knocked out, so I got mad and just started tossing Jet Balls to try to stun him from afar, and one eventually broke the shield and caught him somehow. Enamorus was the worst due to the bog being annoying to move around in, so I just ended up getting on Braviary to be able to get the drop on her from above and just hit her a few times with my Pokémon until a battle started since I wasn’t risking her breaking out of a ball and having to keep up the chase.

interesting: Each has a different number of horns in ascending order 1,2,3,4. As well as different mustache positions for the first 3

The group's Incarnate forms are based on Japanese deities; Tornadus = Fujin (Wind), Thundurus = Raijin (Thunder), Landorus = Inari (Harvest), Enamorus = Ugajin (Fertility). Their Therian forms are based on the Four Chinese Auspicious Beasts; Tornadus = the Vermillion Bird of the South, Thundurus = the Azure Dragon of the East, Landorus = the White Tiger of the West, and Enamorus = the Black Tortoise of the North. Just calling them the "Forces of Nature" feels hella outdated at this point. They could've been looked at as just that before Enamorus' inclusion, maybe, but now they're way more than that.

Actually is easier without any smoke bombs, nor sticky globes. You just need to hit it once even with an oran berry, for 3 times untill he stuns. I didn't use a single stealth spray in my playthrough lol, they're not needed at all. Currently pokedex complete

Did you know that you can actually stun them by throwing your pokémon’s pokéball at them instead of sticky globs/balls of mud and spiked apricorns? I tried it, and it worked!

You do not need to hit them multiple times. I've been hitting them once and their shields drop after a second. It's delayed for whatever reason. Also, you do not need to use sticky globs. You can break their shield with anything. I have been using jet balls from a distance.

I think Enamorus' form is kinda meant to be a "if you know what I'm talking about" joke. In Japanese culture, the soft-shelled snapping turtle is used to promote...certain kinds of performance in men.

if you don't mind wasting a bit of balls, you can use the feather balls as way to stunt them, it's better in comparison to the other stunting items as with the pokeballs one hit will knock their shield without fail once, plus you have better range with the feather balls

except for landorus who is surrouned by grass patches these were absolutely frustrating. the only upside for me was a shiny gyarados showed up when thundurus did. Could you imagine the lati twins or the 3 dogs? 2 of them are flyers while the other 3 are known for being very fast in the lore.

From my experience thunderous is the easiest one to deal with because of basculigions slow time thing while he's in the air so you can just chuck things at 'em. While the other 3 are just giving the term "roaming legendary" a whole new meaning for irratating imo.

The other three are a white tiger (kirin), red bird (phoenix), and blue dragon. Turns the "weather trio" into a "compass/season quadruple".

Hey brother there’s another way to catch them as well that only takes one glob to break their shield and start a battle with them. If you hit them while they are in their attack animation it breaks it in one shot then you can stun or battle. It’s worked on all of them for me. Just something else to try so you don’t burn up all those items

(This is for Thundurus)Fun fact! You can brute force this by using jet balls to hit him out of his protection while jumping in air, I say this because whilst jumping in air on fishy boy and using a pokeball time kinda slows. Once you hit him three times you can either sprint behind him and throw a Ultra Ball or battle him (I battled him because I think it’s easier to get sleep or paralysis off then use a Ultra :] )

I wish they make more legendary encounters like this. It was really difficult to even engage a battle with the Forces, that's much more rewarding than just running up to a frozen legendary pokemon. Especially for Thundurus being on the water and the Enamorus being in the mud where you can't roll out of the way.

Btw u can use anything to break their shields, although using valuable items I think using jet balls work well as you can break the shields from a safe distance

I think for enamourus they took inspiration from madusa with the snakes. That’s why I like the design.

You can throw your Pokémon at their shields and it’s 3 hits every time (from my experience) and it doesn’t trigger a battle if anyone is low on money or crafting stuff for sticky globs

Thunderous is the toughest. Smoke bombs and stun items work well, and normal pokeballs can work in a pinch, but simply throwing YOUR OWN Pokemon at them a few times can also do the trick! Chasing them down and keeping up with them is the REAL trick here, but don't be scared to use Braviary to give yourself some breathing room and time to heal if you start to take on heavy damage.

You can pop their shields with Feather Balls. I used Feather balls to pop their shields from really far away and once its popped the third time, they get stunned and i go in for the capture/battle. A lot easier this way then trying to get that close for Sticky Globs.

Ah that’s why I didn’t see the forces yet because I haven’t fought the “toughest” battle yet. Thanks man! Time to grind my team.

In terms of a money guide, it's really easy to do. Go into cobalt highlands or an area with a lot of passive pokemon. Craft maybe 300 pokeballs or something and spam catch the weak/passive pokemon in the area, things like Bidoof, Aipom, Magikarp etc. Do the time space-distortion and stay until you've caught as many pokemon as possible. Release all of the pokemon from pastures and then also sell the Grit items you receive for extra income.

I found that just hitting them a couple times with jet balls while far away gets their barrier away really easy and efficiently

Thunderous was the biggest pain. I first cleared the Garados then saved (for less pain on restart) then used feather balls to stun his. You can hit it further away than the sticky balls and still takes 3 hits to stun. Rest weren't too bad, but will say that a battle catch is less of a pain but a great challenge to do it in the over-world.

It seems that to break their shield you can always just throw one sticky glob. As long as you hit it will break the shield just wait a few seconds. I've just tested it on them. Probably need a larger sample size but worth checking out.

You actually, don't have to break the shield 3 times, it's just a matter of timing. Because I had no idea about that mechanic I just used a jetball to break the shield and then an immediate second ball or pokemon to start a battle and it worked. In the field & icelands you can just snipe crouched on a hill & in the coast area I just waited for it to start its tornado attack and then shot it when it stood still.

I got the first 3 by dodging storms and sticky globs to the face by getting close. Enamorous on the other hand I could not do that way and used smoke bombs and jet balls. Be sure to attack quick because the opening to battle is really small.

Great video! I do want to add that you can use your own pokemon instead of sticky globs. They will have the same effect. I did this on landorus using my torterra in a gigaton ball.

Was having a hard time catching Tornadus and ended up discovering you can take down its shield just using Wing Balls!

When I threw featherballs from a distance to stun the forces of nature, as long as I had the stealth spray on, I didn't have to run far (if at all) to avoid the tornado counterattacks

Did not know that it took 3 times, was wondering why they wouldn't get into a battle with me at times. Eventually caught the SOBs, but yeah, good to know for future runs & such. I caught Thundurus with the first round with this method. Tornadus was being very naughty, it was something like the ninth round before I caught it. I picked up Landorus the other day by fighting him.

God I hated catching the forces of nature, so much. I dunno if I just got extremely unlucky, but it took me what felt like 30 catch attempts for all 4 forces. I didn't need this video cause I already caught them all, but gotta support Austin John.

I took on thunderus head on it is probably the most badass I felt in a pokemon game. When he stops and plants the thornados you can actually double jump with Basculegion and throw stun items from above while youre on freeze time. Double jump before it can form the tornados it also helps you jump over those thornados.

I've been using EVERY one of your guides. Still gonna watch this. But you put this one out AFTER I completed the dex.

Something I figured out while doing this is just use pokeballs instead of sticky globs, I started to run out of sticky globs while trying to catch one and realized a single pokeball can break it's shield and three pokeballs can stun them Edit: I assume that any item you can throw that can hit pokemon also have the same effect

Another hint to catch these legendaries is that you don't even need to use items to break the first two shields. I've found that you can just throw a pokemon at it multiple times and it'll break the shield... After the second shield is broken you can then use sticky globs to stun him.

This mission made me hope for a feather-throw stun item in a future dlc.
