You and TopTier understand it, everybody always complains about CVs being behind, but, really, GOOD CV players will push with their team to maximize their damage and a Spotting abilities. As a CV main, though I didn't learn many new things, it is good to be reassured that what I do es good. Awesome series, you hve anew subscriber in me.

My god, watching this series makes me think how much this game needed tutorials for the basics for new players. It harkens me back to the way racers like Gran Turismo had you complete a lot of challenges in order to progress through the "tiers" so to speak. This is such basic stuff and yet, it is never explained to you in-game.

To get good at CV Step 1 go watch Toptier play Step 2 play CV Step 3 repeat Step 1 and 2 thats how i went from doing avg 30k dmg in cv to avg 100k

This game is a mess lately, they add more and more content to the game(lines of ships, new mecanics) without thoroughly fixing the downsides of the existing problems.. tnx for the content as always - and be safe

Having the "new" autopilot show the turns on the map, instead of a perfect 90° angle, is bettern than the old one. But thats about the only better thing, since sometimes the carrier won't even take the turn as it is shown on the map ...

In this game, I didn't see him attack a DD or even accidentally spot one until the game was well-decided.

Can we please remove the +/- 2 tier thing? I find it very annoying when I play cv, getting thrown against tier 8 ships that shoot my planes out of the sky in seconds, leaving me with basically nothing to do expect spot for my team. Sure, you’re helping but really how fun is that?

I started to play CV for real after the rework. I usually go for the next island that gives some protection but closer to middle. But even then 30% of the teams manage to not defend my flank and I get killed mid game cause of my team leaving me alone.

I like to take my CV and pace back and forth near the back of the map, until I see which side is pushing.

Hmmm.... It doesn't tell me how to control or deploy the interceptors manually. Some player manages to deploy their interceptor further ahead, while in auto it will always fly around the carrier.

Will you do a guide on using AP and HE shells? How about strategies for specific game modes?

How can I best make use of islands? I recently got into USN CLs, and I'm struggling to make optimal use of islands.

When you play CV when the match up see the other side have 899 team with GZ + Musashi x2 and player name "Eurobeat" , good luck with your CV positioning lol But to be fair, it is a good payback to Skycancer crap

Yeah, the biggest mistakes I see CVs make are hiding behind islands and not moving. When I CV, I always scout islands near the enemy spawn first, because those CVs are super easy targets, and I never stop moving, because eventually, someone will realize where you are and send a scout to spot you if you don't move. I can't stand the other players who think they know CVs, and will complain and even TK you for not hiding in the back.

hmm i u move 2 steps forward and get spotted ur in range of most of the BB's in a t10 match. it can end quickly.

Going with the front, I do this myself, is fine and dandy untill the enemy makes a run for it. Your CV is not fast enough to get away from a turning flank, especially with that wanky auto pilot. You really need to keep an eye on that.

I really hate this new way of doing CV play. It forces you to constantly divert your attention between your ship and your planes in addition to all of the normal things that most ships need to worry about. I thought the old style of a real-time strategy game for CVs was good. You could set up combination strikes, direct attacks and set up zones of control. To me, it felt really balanced and natural and how a CV should be played. I don't know why some people say it was OP. I never felt like I was at a disadvantage in my BB or DD. This new version just feels clunky and awkward. I like being able to take control of a squadron, but combat tactics are just impossible now. The attack runs are frustratingly hard to setup right and easy to misdrop. It almost always results in nothing more than lost planes. As a BB player, I honestly don't even worry about CVs now. They just feel like a distraction and the planes are little more than an extra pool of XP to farm.

Id like to see this in a losing game wee team fails bigtime

Forget all this BS, team selection decides who wins (and IT IS NOT random) close games are rare, mostly you win heavily or lose heavily. don't waste disk space.
