Not only are getting those Google reviews an important ranking factor deciding who shows up in the map listings, but they are a powerful motivating factor as well - Meaning whoever has the best review score usually gets the first call. In this video, I'll show you everything you need to know to get more of those 5 star reviews.

I have been using the shortened link for my customers to leave reviews for over a year now just finding it hard for them to leave one. The work I do is very personal and from looking at the job to doing the work to the invoice is all done by myself so you have that connection with the customer from day one. I normally leave something like this. " I hope your happy with the work which has been completed in your home I would really appreciate if you could leave me a google review (link) as it really helps a small business " even though they don't leave one they still keeping on asking me to come back and do more work which is good but the reviews matter too expand my business. Great videos keep up the good work

Hey TJ, yea, it can be hard getting people to do anything they aren't incentivized to do. Usually they mean well, but just never get around to it. I'd suggest making sure they know they don't have to leave a text review, they CAN just leave a star rating, which will eliminate some of the barrier to entry.

I learned from a marketing company that most requests sent via e-mail stay unanswered. They use text messages with a link to the review page. The idea is that most text messages get attended and if it includes a link that takes you directly to the review then it's much easier to leave a review.

This is great! Love the link to review page site! Hey, how do you feel about building an email list for a service business? I heard from a few people that email lists aren't really effective due to the very low open rate. Thoughts on this?

That's why you have to do what you can to raise the rate! If its all promo emails, it WILL be low. If it's helpful stuff that they can use, that also makes you look like the expert, THATS when it works! Cheers :)

ive created a URL with place id for google reivews to send to customers but issue is if that person doesnt want to create a google acount they cant leave a review. how do i create a URL to send so that the customer can leave a google review with out creating a google account?

It shouldn't be marked as spam... if it's currently on your site, I guess maaaaybe it might trigger something but I highly doubt it would. Worst that could happen is it doesn't get posted, so I'd go for it!

I actually don't offer that as a standalone service... and if I did, I wouldnt be able to guarantee 3-pack rankings... I'd only charge for the work involved in giving them their best chance. Nobody but google thmselves can guarantee that.

put that link into a QR code, make a nice looking document. Tape it near the businesses front desk. Offer a small incentive to leave a review.

Gotta be careful about that actually. Google always knows where you are, so if you have a bunch of ppl leaving reviews IN your store, it can trigger filters. Not exactly sure how this works when they're doing it on their phones not on wifi, but for sure don't have a computer station in your business designated for ppl to leave reviews on. They'll just see anyone leaving one from your IP address as a scam review.

So frustrating!! The Review link generator does not work if you are not displaying your address as your company will not show up as an available company to create the review link. WAKE UP GOOGLE!! This is not unreasonable for service companies wanting to hide their addresses!!

3 of my client's reviews, Google refused to publish, with no information. Sometimes it just seems like Google is ineffective, terrible and stupid. UGH. No competition, I guess.

Thank you so much for the video. I have watches several other contributors, but theirs just did not resonate like yours. This has been very helpful. I was actually looking for a simple but professional looking email template to send out to ask for reviews. Maybe I am making it too difficult.

Hi Pamela, thanks for the kind words, glad you found this useful! I actually usually stay away from email templates, or overly "designed" emails. They tend to not make it into people's inboxes, and they also look promotional in nature. I prefer a simple email that looks like they got it from a friend. Personalize it, and you'll get a much better response.

Once the link is open. You copy the URL and paste it into notepad. Add ",5" on the end of the link pasted. Re copy this entire link and the new link will actually open up the review pop up with a 5* rating already highlighted.
