Thank you for saying that. It was worth doing to make a video. Yes, Haruka tickets can buy at JR Ticket Office (Midori-no-Madoguchi) or green ticket-vending machines.

Nice video! very detailed. Quick question, if my final destination is Kyoto, but I plan to go out of Shin-Osaka station for dinner, Do I need to buy 2 tickets? 1 from Kansai to Osaka and another ticket for Shin-Osaka to Kyoto?

Thanks for your comment. Yes, you need to buy tickets from Kansai Airport to Shin-Osaka AND from Shin-Osaka to Kyoto. However, there are other options besides the Haruka train. For instance, you can take the JR Kansai Airport Rapid Service or the Nankai Railway to Shin-Osaka, cheaper than the Haruka. Alternatively, if you want to save time, I think taking the Haruka train would be a good idea. The station attendant has more detailed information than I do, so how about ask them?

Hi! I think you can probably change it at the 'Midori no Uketori-ki' (green ticket machine) or at the 'Midori no Madoguchi' (green window). However, I haven't done it before, so my answer might be uncertain. I'm sorry. Please ask a station attendant.

Thank you for the video. Just a quick question, can I buy an ICOCA card and reload money and use it for the Haruka Limited Express? I need to use it in Kyoto Station to get to my hotel.

Thank you for the comment. I have an ICOCA card, but I always buy a ticket when I ride the Haruka (not using ICOCA). So, I am not familiar with your question. I recommend asking the staff at the ticket office (Midori no Madoguchi) or a station attendant. BUT It can be used for transportation expenses, and you can also use it for shopping (although there are some stores where it cannot be used). So, I believe it's a great idea to buy the ICOCA.

Hello! Thank you for the question. Buy a ticket at the Midori no Madoguchi. Then, you can choose reserved or non-reserved seats. The name of the reserved seat or non-reserved seat is written on the outside of the car body. If you buy a non-reserved seat ticket, you can get a seat anywhere in the non-reserved seat car. If you want to know more, please ask the station staff.
