I've really been bad with cold emailing/calling in my video production business and have mostly relied on word of mouth for a lot of my work. Even though word of mouth has worked amazingly and I've made $20,000 this year so far it's extremely unreliable. This video is awesome and breaks everything down great. I'd love to see a video on how you setup and charge for your retainer packages as it's something I'm trying to implement! Thanks!

Hey Spencer, I'm glad you found the video useful mate! By the way, I've just relaunched the perspective academy which has loads of detailed content on this. It is a paid for course, so I completely understand if it's not for you but I'd suggest taking a look as we are closing it on Sunday and reopening at a higher price later on. Here is the link, if you're interested mate. Enroll.perspectiveacademy.co.uk

Hey Steven! Sorry for the late reply mate. I go into full detail about this in the Perspective Academy but in essence we offer the clients some kind of allowance which they pay regularly for. Feel free to take a look out our free module if you haven't already: free.perspectiveacademy.co.uk

How’s it goin! So I came into the video production world through local music videos. And honestly it’s been tough to stray away from it and do other work that pays more and regularly. Any advice on how to make that change ?

Hey dude! It's largely about speaking to as many businesses as you can. Offering business overview videos or customer journey videos tends to go down really well! Keep trying mate 🙌

When the client agrees to do business with you and you're ready to schedule a shoot how long should it take to get your film crew together?
@RossWelch
@RossWelch 3 жыл бұрын
Hey dude! Great question. Depending on the size of the shoot. I would say a week or two. If you need to find people, that could take some time. But if its just a 1 person shoot and you're doing it... then you can in theory schedule the shoot for the earliest convenience for you 🔥

@@RossWelch Thank you so much man I was concerned about this because right now I creating a sales process. More than likely it's just going to be me, 2nd shooter, and a makeup artist. Do you source your crew through facebook? Because that's what I plan on doing unless you have other recommendations.
@RossWelch
@RossWelch 3 жыл бұрын
@@kcidd12 yes, Facebook is really good. There are other places like many.com or film and TV pro... but I think Facebook is the easiest. Just ask for rates, showreel, examples of finished work and then location 🤘🔥

you email 50 people per day, how long does that take and many jobs out of that?
@RossWelch
@RossWelch 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Mark! Make sure you checkout my video on 'the number 1 platform to get client's' as that will have a lose outline in! Sales is always a numbers game, especially if they are cold leads. We would expect to land a meeting with maybe 5-10 people and then it depends on requirements budgets and a number of factors. Sometimes - right place right time means you get clients quickly. Others can take a month on average. But you can be sure of 1 thing... the phone won't ring with your dream clients at the end of it... you need to get it 🤘🔥

@@RossWelch Thanks. Would this be small - medium sized businesses or contacting marketing / communications at big companies?
@RossWelch
@RossWelch 3 жыл бұрын
@@markthomas8018 I'd always target small - medium businesses. Big mainstresm companies are less loyal and also use PR companies so by having a string of small businesses that you work with and help them grow, you will create a much more stable business 😊
