I can’t thank you enough for this video… I had this problem on my year and a half LG refrigerator. Although I had replaced the water filter many times since owning the unit, my latest attempt to replace the filter failed. I visited the store where I purchased it thinking that it might be a bad filter. They were very helpful thinking that it might be a bad filter as well and swapped the filter for a new one. Nope, that didn’t solve the problem. Since I purchased an extended warranty for my refrigerator I called the warranty provider who although understood the problem, warned me that unless my issue was caused by a mechanical problem, I would be subject to at least a $180 service call on top of any parts that might be needed. I declined scheduling a technician visit and went to KZfaq where I found your video. My first attempt at moving the inner housing with a 3/8 flat wood bit was a bit concerning as it wouldn’t budge. I then heated the housing just slightly with a hairdryer and that did the trick. Got the housing back to its 9 and 3 position and the new filter went on perfectly. You saved me a lot of money and frustration, so glad I found your video. Great job! Thank you!.
