Really good tip. I don't usually have problems on the forehand but I think this will help. I seem to always loss power on the backhand 2 hander and I can see this will also work

I think what gets missed when talking about Federer is that he was cross eye (left eye though he's right handed) dominant. It sure makes it easier to hit and see the back of your racket when your left eye is the main one tracking the ball to contact. I've tried this approach before you made this video and I'm right eye right hand dominant. I can't track the ball while trying this tip, it's almost like peek a boo. I end up hitting the ball more towards my hip than out in front. When timed right I feel as I have effortless power than trying to hit out front though. Do you have any adjustments someone who is right eye right hand dominant can't do?

Hi. If you are right eye dominant, is it not easier because of the angle to see contact on your forehand? Or am I misunderstanding you?

It seems to me that the fact that the Fed is left eye dominant results in his head being further cocked to his right, giving the illusion that he is looking at the ball through the back of his strings. But even at the recreational level, the swing and the ball contact is so quick that I can't tell if I saw the contact from the front or the back of the racket even if I tried to focus on it. I'm right-handed and right-eye dominant. I've tried doing this method in the past and it does not work for me. It distracts me more than it helps me focus on the contact point. Even simply keeping the head still through contact is way more effective for me. This is just my personal experience and insight.

@@oneminutetennis well it's easy to see hitting behind the racket but then it makes it much harder to track the ball. If it's coming cross court or if I'm running out to the right it's just about impossible to do both (track the ball to impact and hit and see the back of the racquet strings).

Thanks. It's easier than my previous advice to see through the strings. But I want to see what you think of my next video. It'll be online in about 2 hours time. I think it'll really help your Forehand power
