Have you ever felt overwhelmed by your emotions or lost in the turbulence of negative thoughts? Discover how the ancient wisdom of Stoicism can be your guiding light through dark times. Join us on a transformative journey as we explore seven profound lessons from Stoicism that go beyond theory to become a way of life. With a heart full of courage and a mind unwavering in its resolve, these lessons will empower you to take control of your emotions and navigate life's storms. Amidst the chaos of life, welcome to "How to Get Rid of Negative Thoughts Using Stoicism," your guide to finding inner peace.
Lesson 1: Know What You Can Control:
Learn the art of distinguishing between what you can and cannot control in life. Stoicism teaches us that our emotions are not caused by external events but by our perception of them. Embrace this wisdom to find strength and tranquility.
Lesson 2: Think Before You Act:
In a world that values immediacy, Stoicism reminds us of the importance of pausing and reflecting. By thinking before you act, you gain clarity, empathy, and the ability to make thoughtful decisions in both personal and professional life.
Lesson 3: Practice Dispassion:
Discover the power of emotional detachment without suppressing your feelings. Stoicism guides us to acknowledge our emotions without letting them control us, fostering calmness in the midst of life's storms.
Lesson 4: Accept That Things Change:
Embrace impermanence as a natural part of life. Stoicism teaches us that change is an opportunity for growth and learning. By accepting change, you gain resilience and the ability to weather life's challenges.
Lesson 5: Cultivate Gratitude:
Gratitude is a powerful practice that shifts your focus from what's lacking to what's abundant in your life. Stoic philosophy emphasizes the importance of being thankful for the simple joys and challenges, leading to inner strength and contentment.
Lesson 6: Build Resilience:
Learn to face adversity with courage and grace. Stoicism highlights the importance of inner strength, emotional equilibrium, and adaptability. By developing resilience, you can overcome life's hurdles and emerge stronger.
Lesson 7: Live in Alignment with Your Values:
Discover the profound happiness and inner peace that comes from aligning your actions with your core values. Stoicism encourages us to make choices that reflect what truly matters, fostering a meaningful and purposeful life.
Incorporate these timeless Stoic principles into your daily life and embark on a journey of self-improvement, self-understanding, and lasting happiness. Practice dispassion like a Stoic philosopher, and watch as your life transforms with each passing day.

Love your take on Stoic philosophy! This reminds me of a famous quote by Marcus Aurelius: ‘We live only now. Everything else is either past or uncertain.’ Applying this idea to our daily lives can have a profound impact on our perspective.

I’m commenting before watching the video, and I won’t change it afterwards. My world is nearly filled with negativity from my own perspective based on the outcomes of all the situations I’ve lived through to this point. My exwife is the focus of the majority of this negativity, because the relationship we had during marriage was unbearable to hold together. I never broke my vows, but she would regularly break them and involved our children in several ways. After several years of being away from her and divorced where I was awarded full custody, I still feel ashamed at myself for still loving her. I don’t know how I can still hold those feelings towards her when there’s multitudes of reasons for the opposite. However, my heart has trudged on through all this time…and it still feels like yesterday that everything started to collapse. I don’t know how much therapy I’ve been through, or tactics I’ve employed to help cope with the fallout…but I always end up back in this space where I mourn the loss of our family life. I wanted to grow old with her, and raise our sons together…but life has been fairly cruel towards that dream.

It seems you've weathered significant storms in your life, and your openness in sharing your struggles is commendable. Stoicism teaches us that while we cannot control external events, we can govern our responses and attitudes towards them. It's natural to feel sorrow and to mourn lost dreams, but remember, the present moment offers a space to cultivate inner resilience and peace. Continue your journey of self-discovery and healing, acknowledging your emotions yet striving to remain rooted in the present, focusing on what you can control-your thoughts and actions. Life's trials, while harsh, can also be the soil in which we grow our wisdom and strength.

Depression= i pressed on It's all in your mind folks, emotions dont dictate us, we dictate the emotions. Discard your emotions and delve into deeo thinking why you have these symptoms. Then ask yourself, change is a constant just as particles are always moving. Ask yourself, do you want to change? If so, then find out why you are really in your emotions. Why do they have control over you. What are you afraid of? What are you willing to do to overcome the emotional turmoil that grips your heart? Once you answer these, seperatong out emotional examples, you can build a roadmap to self improve. Everyday is a good day to change your circumstances from within.

Why is practicing stoic philosophy difficult in today's world, BEWARE of the 7 headless horsemen of PRIDE, GREED, WRATH, ENVY, LUST, GLUTTONY, and SLOTH Together they carve out a destructive path through humanity. Together they almost can not be defeated by any human, ANY HUMAN every HUMAN. All I know about JESUS CHRIST is he suffered greatly. That is all that matters to me about JESUS. It is not easy!! Good luck every body.
