If your HD buildings aren't skyscrapers, change the building style in the district to "North American". Make sure highrise ban is off, as well. Tip: If you dont want to use a bunch of schools every 2 cell units i suggest using hadron collider since it's op. Modding it is also good.

To my knowledge, european maps only prodce buildings some 6 stories tall. (The likes of which you would find in Vienna, Cologne, or Paris. Us Europeans don't really like skyscrapers.)

You need the style to not be European, they will not become skyscrapers.

You want too have all the demands too get the building ass tall as possible. Fire, police, health, communal traffic, parks e.t.c

If you can afford The green cities dlc then get that. Then look up it cluster tutorial.

I understand leveling up buildings and using higher density zoning. However, on some maps, I get ugly townhouses but on others I get nice skyscrapers, regardless of building level or zone. Can anybody explain why this is and how I can revert to skyscrapers?

I don't know if you figured this out already but it's because some maps have European themes which make ugly buildings. To fix this paint a district over the buildings and change the style to North American. It will destroy those buildings tho.

I know how to get skyscrapers..... I just wanna know how I can get the stupid high tech buildings...... I dont mean "Modern" type buildings..... I am talking about the futuristic type buildings,..... like the ones you get in Sim City...... I got them in Cities Skylines.... but I dont remember how.................

It took me 8 years to fully understand how cities skylines works in JUST THE BASICS yesterday I played it for a full day and managed to get 15k people and the traffic wasnt as bad but my metro lines kept getting stuck and my train lines too so ill take another 8 years to work on that lol
