How to get Somber Smithing Stones 7 in Elden Ring

Two locations for three Somber Smithing Stones +7. The first is a path leading to two somber smithing stones 7 through the Royal Capital. The third one is in an area that requires you to progress halfway through Ranni's quest after you have placed the Carian Inverted Statue at the Study Hall where you will eventually acquire the Cursemark of Death. After that, go through the portal in Renna's Rise back at the 3 sisters castle. You will eventually be able to purchase 11 of these near the very end of the game if you acquire the Somber Miner's Bell Bearing (4) and offer them to the sisters at the roundtable.

The elevator skip still works, and it's well worth learning it. All you need is the exploding tear from the minor erdtree guardian, west Liurnia. Then you just go to South Limgrave to the trapped chest that sends you to the Grand Lift

For anyone who keeps dying from the Tree sentinel. Go unlock the poison mist spell first. Sneak up behind him and keep activating the poison one by one until it runs out.

yes and keep in mind they do not stack so wait until the spell wears off then activate another. It is a lengthly process so be patient. Plus you get a really good shield from him and a weapon.

There’s a poison mist incantation inside a beetle in weeping peninsula. Once you have it, sneak behind the tree sentinel and cast it until it gets poison. Once the poison runs out cast it again until you get poison. Rinse and repeat and it will die.

3:17 Thank you very much for this guide. I want to add that at this moment, just the way your character is facing here and is about to jump, before jumping, if you following the pipes in that direction your character's facing, I found a dead body near the corner of the area with a third Somber Smithing Stone 7. So, it may be worth it to try and kill the mobs around this area and loot all the bodies.

There’s also another somberstone nearby the grace “nokstella eternal city”. Once you get up those stairs with alot of those black glob things you take the first left into a small room with a chest. Inside that chest is the somberstone 7.

Once you get to the Giants gravestone you can farm all you want or need. Head south from that site of grace and kill the hands. They drop those. Got about 20-30 in no time.

there's a somber smithing stone level 8 in the same tunnel system. Instead of dropping down to the ladder on the right, keep running straight past the two dudes and drop down in the pipes. Make your way through and it will be near a big dude that jumps down from a ladder.

I tried going where you said, ended up running past 2 giant plant things. Up this long ladder and killed a giant hand and got a somber stone 7. For me when I try to go past those 2 big guys, there is a giant gate that has the path closes off. Trying to figure out how to get it opened

I do believe you need 2 great runes to access this part of the captial due to how things are the boss outside can be beaten at any stage early on however you still cannot access the eastern rampart without 2 great souls.

I can confirm. Only had Godrick's Great Rune at first. After beating Draconic Tree Sentinel and going through the door, there was a barrier on the other side of the bridge that told me I required at least two Great Runes to pass. Went to Raya Lucaria and defeated Renna. The barrier at the Capital was gone when I returned.

There are actually 3 7's. The other one is just pass the pipe where the second one is found. Kill the lobster from within the pipe and it'll be by the gravestone and the wall in front of you

That third one out into the open down by the lobster-assholes is actually a regular 7, NOT Somber... I especially took notice of this today as I had whacked the scarab ball IN the short concrete tube, but then it rolled OUT, and I was too wimpy to face that lobster-asshole, and THEN, as I watched helplessly from the meager protection of my short concrete tube... I remembered: "oh shit, the scarab ball is gonna disapp..." RIGHT as the fucker vanished, taking my deeply coveted SOMBER 7 away. For ever. Or a NG+...?!?

There's also another Somber stone 7 in the same area as the second one. you need to keep pushing through and in the third building you'll find a chest with one in it.

Also from the last #7 regular stone where the lobsters are, keep pushing foreword until you get back to where the big pipes are. There is one on top of said piping system.

Earliest possible is in Volcano Manor, you can get there by either getting trapped by the Iron Virgin in Lucaria Academy and teleport to Volcano Manor or you can activate the Dectus Lift then go there on your own.

For the draconic tree sentinel, simply sneak around & behind him, use the spell called poison mist (easily obtainable) and you can poison DoT him to death and never have to aggro him!

Somber Stone 8 and 9 are hilariously easy to obtain. Both 8 and 9 can be found in Caelid without much effort. 6s and 7s are strategically placed to stop you from steamrolling the game. Easiest 6 i think is the Alteus Tunnel behind a shack so you'll need the Dectus medallions to access the Dectus Lift. Edit: So ok there are more ways to get to the northern region without using Dectus Lift

Same boat, I have 8 and 9 and just and only missing freaking 7! And I am getting punished by trying to get to them as hell. So back to doing something else and level up until I will get that 7, then just update to 9 and peace out! (who am I kiddin, will get ass kicked again as I will be higher level and in different more difficult areas)

The best part is the stones on the bodies reset and it’s close to a grace so you really can just hit this spot every time you need one

easiest way to kill the tree sentinel by using the poison mist you get from a scarab in the very south past the bridge of sacrifice follow the path grab the map peace and then look on your map at the south east part you see small green circle just above it that is where you find the scarab with the poison mist spell and go back to the tree sentinel crouch walk behind him use the mist one it do damage to 1000 wait for the mist worn off do it again till he dies it takes a while but it works and you dont lose ruins or die trying

There is actually 2 more to the left of that half pipe when you kill the scarab and if you out run the lobster and go through the broken wall there is a site of Grace just to the left of the opening. I appreciate your video. I was trying to upgrade my Moonveil before Radagn.

There is actually 1 more somber smithing stone 7! If you keep running you will enter in a little dungeon and open a secret thing and come out on top of the pipes we were on and there is another one there. Then you can just run back to the first stairs and to the bonfire

I literally just discovered that one, you have to fight through like 10 goblins but it's all the way in the back on top of those pipes before jumping down

Two runes from main bosses. Godfrey was first. Only around 5 bosses drop the greater rune

I hated the jump at volcano manor so much, it just seems impossible to me, and the God skin boss is really hard, I thought I would never get the somber stone 7, but then I saw your video and you just save my life dude
